”It was a perfect location for catching the ferry to Newfoundland the next day. Literally 1 minute from the ferry terminal. Food in the restaurant both for dinner and breakfast was excellent, and the staff were very helpful and informative about the ferry service. Would definitely stay here again.”

”The location was good for the ferry and the price reasonable booked because it said there was a restaurant on the premises,there isn't. Had to go down the road,this restaurant closes Monday and Tuesday so canceled for the return journey which is a Tuesday the room had no amenities,there were two of us and only one bottle of water no face tissues,nothing to drink out of. No coffee maker”

”Face cloths were clean, but permanently stained. Television was a mystery to operate. The staff tried to be supportive, but it felt like they weren’t given what they needed to be as helpful as they wanted.”

”Great little hotel, very well kept, with just the right touch of antique furniture. The rooms are super cosy and the dining/living room is very nice with a beautiful view. The 7-course dinner was outstanding and came with well-paired wine recommendations. We also enjoyed a delicious breakfast. Overall, pretty much the best hotel experience we head during our two-week tour through Nova Scotia.”

”This certainly is a special place. It is a very old house and our rooms were on the 3rd floor, without elevator. We had to leave at 3am to catch a flight and that went without problems. The place is very well situated, very close the the Governor's restaurant, which we can only recommend. There are special procedures that need to be adhered to (no shoes in the house and no barefeet, you have to be quiet, you have to read the instructions 24 hours before arriving and you also have to confirm your...
