”The apartment arrangement is fine. Next to the University of Coimbra which was the reason for our stay. Coimbra near the University is very hilly, but the area is beautiful in September. Tour of the campus and famous library. The rooms are small which brings back memories of being a student in college.”

”Best location in the old town! Great local shops right next door. Kitchen and washing machine. Friendly receptionist between 9am-6pm. However: The deluxe double room was nothing like deluxe: so small that when you enter, the door hits the bed. Bed is not double size and mattress is uncomfortable. In the shower the water doesnt go down. The chair in the room was stained as were the cover pillows. For the price we accept this room, but really a couple can only stay there for 1 night. A little tricky to find the first time, but this is more to do with the way google maps depicts the area (and how tired I was when trying to read the map 😉) than the directions received. Very responsive host. Would stay again!”

”This is a giant, rambling old mansion that has been converted into lodging. I wish we'd had more time to discuss its history with our host Maria. We wound up here because our original choice had a fire, and we had to find a place at the last minute. We were here to tour the university and it's about a 25 minute hike. In the end, our room was comfy, cool and quiet, and that's what's important to us. BTW, Uber works really well in Coimbra.”

”The house is lovely and quiet with a private bathroom. Nice shared kitchen and common area which make the small room doable. The lady who met us, let us leave our luggage because we were a few hours early...very much appreciated It was a little hard to find”

”Stairs are quite steep. Clean room, large bathroom, small kitchen, tree bds (too small table for tree and only two chairs). Location is an excellent, along the main walking street. Shoehorn would be a nice to have.”
