The only things that we missed were laundry facilities (we drove to Gorham, about 8 miles away) to use a laundromat. We also wished there was a microwave in the room. Overall though we enjoyed our stay, it is a great hotel.”

”Safe and clean, although dated. It was very difficult to get the shower to a safe, comfortable temp, but with some patience, it can be done. The hot tub/spa area is seasonal, which was not advertised. Quiet and comfortable, the room was spacious.”

”Toiletries were useless. Inadequate towels, soap the size of a dime. Bed and pillows awful Cont breakfast consisted of two loaves of opened bread, jam containers not clean and almost empty, a dozens or so of mini donuts in a tupper- ware container,,,,,,at 7 AM coffees was ice cold. No staff available. Their biggest concern is to over charge all guests that have pets. this place has decreased in performance over the years. I will never stay there again.”

”Staying here was a unique experience because the hotel is full of historic charm and character. The rooms were quirky but clean, and the window air conditioners kept them comfortably cool even on hot days. We stayed in a two-bedroom suite with a shared bathroom between the rooms, which worked well for us. The only downside was the clawfoot bathtub, which made showering a bit challenging. The location was excellent—right on the main street with plenty of restaurants and charming shops just steps...
