Fantastic Meyer lemon tree and avocado tree Provides beauty and privacy! Florida room overlooking pool and water way with a small dock for fishing. Professionally & beautifully staged for a maximum relaxation and serene stay. Enjoy all the local restaurants, outings and beaches near by. Enjoyed our stay very much. Walking down to the canal in the mornings to watch the sunrise was incredible. We did not get a chance to use the pool as the weather was a little cold. Julie the host was very responsive and very friendly. Great place to stay. Hoping to stay again soon.

The host communicated well. The house was nice, clean and had everything we needed. We appreciated that there were 2 beach chairs for us to use as we flew down and couldn't bring items like that. We loved sitting around the pool. We would definitely book this house again.

1 STAR DO NOT STAY HERE I paid over $300 for ONE night at this property, and the condition of the home was completely unacceptable. The pool was disgustingly green, full of algae and spiders. I immediately contacted the host, who told me it would be cleaned. After it was supposedly “cleaned,” the pool was still dirty and had a disgusting film floating across the surface. That was only the beginning. The front door window is broken and literally taped over, there was visible mold filling the vents, and the back patio was infested with black widows and their eggs. This is not what anyone should expect when paying hundreds of dollars for a one night stay. I also contacted the host multiple times throughout the weekend and received absolutely no response. Conveniently, I received a response only after I had checked out and contacted Expedia about getting a refund. Her communication with me at that point was extremely unprofessional, and I will be attaching screenshots so other guests can see for themselves. To make matters even worse, I accidentally left a very expensive ring at the property. I contacted the host about it, and the ring is now supposedly nowhere to be found. Given everything else that happened, I find that extremely concerning. I would stay VERY far away from this property and this host. The condition of the home, lack of communication, safety concerns, and the way this situation was handled were completely unacceptable. I strongly recommend elsewhere

The interior of this property was exceptional. The house itself was clean, beautifully maintained, well-decorated, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Unfortunately, the outdoor areas were a major disappointment.The backyard, patio, lanai, and pool area were simply filthy. There were spider webs and spiders everywhere, making it uncomfortable to sit outside or fully enjoy the pool. Debris from the overgrown plants continuously fell into the pool, and we found ourselves having to clean it before each use. The outdoor floors were also extremely dirty, to the point that we felt the need to wear shoes almost the entire time we were outside.What was most frustrating was that the photos of the pool and patio area were misleading and did not accurately represent the property's current condition. The outdoor space shown in the listing appeared clean, inviting, and well-maintained, but that was not our experience at all. The backyard felt neglected and poorly cared for, which significantly impacted our stay.If the owners are going to operate a vacation rental from a distance, the property needs to be maintained regularly. A thorough cleaning, landscaping service, and pest control treatment would make a huge difference. The inside of the home was wonderful, but the condition of the backyard greatly diminished what otherwise could have been an excellent experience.

We were very disappointed, so much so we left 2 days early. We booked this as a retreat for our daughter who had open heart surgery but it was anything but a retreat. The pool is low and nothing is skimming in the skimmer, the hot tub has no water in it, the pool needs to be vacuumed, the cage has vines growing all on top and the stuff is coming through, there are cobwebs and spiders all over, the grass has not been cut, (it needs to be cut more than 2x a month) and the dock that was advertised is no longer there and the bench is leaning so far forward we were afraid to use it, (This was one of the reasons we booked the house). We love being outside and were so disappointed. The inside was fairly clean but the air vents were gross, a lot of the pots and pans were not in great shape, the hair dryer did not work, and the fan in one of the bedrooms stopped working the first night. The room that our daughter was sleeping in only had sheer curtains and the bright sun shone in the room very early in the morning so she was unable to sleep in and get the rest she needed and the blinds in the living room don't close all the way. Also, the glass in the front door is broken and a piece of tape is over it. That is very unsafe. Upon us getting ready to leave we stripped the beds and my wife was horrified of the stain that was on the bed under the sheets. It looked like blood. We are sorry to have so many negatives, but this is the reality.

Pool had not been cleaned, hot tub was in awful shape, neither were able to be used. Ants in the kitchen and master bathroom. TV was worked in living room but remote would not allow you to turn on/off or adjust volume. Home was hot during the day, AC didn’t seem to work properly.

The property looks beautiful in the pictures, however, it wasn't my experience up close. Check in was smooth, once inside, the amount of dust collected on the ceiling fans, plus on other surfaces was completely unacceptable. There were boogers on the wall! Literal boogers.... Over all, from the host to Vrbo service was terrible. They wanted to keep my payment despite the service not being rendered! A property if being rented should be well kept, maintained, and clean!

All of the vents had mold in them. This property should not be able to be rented in this condition. There were other issues noted, silverfish and small bugs in the bathroom/closet, dirty rugs and pool deck. The owner did send a cleaner to address dirty floors

Colin & Diane-week long relaxing

Upon arrival the property looked abit tired and in need of a lick of paint. Plus broken wall light needs fixing on outside of villa. Inside was spacious and clean, kitchen in need of updating (cupboards). Plenty of crockery and cups, cutlery. Bedrooms nice and large plenty of storage for clothing etc. Nice pool area but full of cobwebs hadnt been cleaned properly. Needs some more out door chairs and a little table. Didnt use hot tub , pool was enough. Neighbour hood was a residential area noisy at times with inconsiderate motorcyles and cars with load music late in evening. But basically ok.

Worst place to stay

When we first arrived it seemed very nice, but looking closer there were ants everywhere, pool had not been cleaned, and the grass was up to my knees and had not been cut. Upon that the ac wasn’t working had to go the first day with out and it being 85 in the house. The host did get an ac guy out the next day but it just broke again, he ended up telling us he’s been telling her to replace it for over a year so he got parts from him own house and came out and fixed it. Was also poison oak all through the back yard and growing up the sides of the wall in the pool area, which my mother in law ended up getting. Definitely consider getting a different house if you are debating on getting this one.

Nice Stay / Friendly Owner

I would stay at this location again. We had a quick 48 hour trip to the area. It is close to what we needed to do in Punta / Charlotte / Englewood. Pool was nice and warm. Everything was clean. Owner was very helpful and kind. Bed was comfortable. Only negative was based more on my sleeping schedule and our short trip. Check out was apparently at 10 a.m. though it did not say that on the listing VRBO sent (normally hotels and VRBO stays are 11 or 12). So we had to toss our stuff in our car and leave before the cleaning lady arrived then wait at a restaurant before our flight left which I did not like on little sleep (I work nights and sleep 5-6 a.m. - mid morning). If the website would have showed the checkout at 10 a.m. it would have been better. Don't let this determine your consideration as again nice property and helpful owner. Overall I would recommend the location.

Horrible host,house

Arrived to a filthy house with no air. Host stated that she would be there in a few days. Told us to turn on ceiling fans. The house was 82 degrees. Julie the host made us flip breakers and take out the filter to the air. The filter was covered in dirt and dust balls fell from the filter. The air did not work. The curtain rods were falling off the wall. Con webs throughout. Dirty ceiling fans, mold, filthy pool, over flowing trash and an unkept lawn. We did not stay and had to call VRBO CS. Julie was rude to VRBO Ahmed. She seemed shocked that we were unhappy. Needless to say I am contesting it with my CC company. I have tried to upload more photos. I have a lot of them.

Cute and comfy

Small cozy home but still felt pretty open and spacious for all of us staying. Enjoyed our trip and location.

Bigger and nicer than I expected!

The hot tub was a huge bonus. I guess I missed that in the description, and I was pleasantly surprised. The kids really enjoyed the pool.

As expected

Check-in process was very smooth. received the key code and everything went smoothly. The house was accurately depicted and described. We were working from home while in Port Charlotte. This place had a nice working area, that's why picked this place. The internet speed was sufficient. Comfortable beds, laundry facilities were handy and nice. The kitchen had new equipment, fridge and stove was newer, dishes and pans were new. We ended up buying a blender, but that was expected as none was mentioned. The two baths were nice, the second bath could have non-slip grips in tub as it was dangerously slippery. We managed... We were delighted to see the numerous hangers and large closet space. we stayed for 4 weeks and used them all. Linenens were plentiful and clean and newer. The pool was clean and convenient. Unfortunately the solar heat was not strong enough to heat the water during our stay (February). During the end of our stay, the water temperature was getting close to "swim temp". We noticed it was maintained weekly by a service. The lawn was also professionally maintained. There were a couple of things outside of the hosts control. Continually barking dog across the canal, loud traffic on a close busy neighborhood street. Some private trucks are very noisy, one car in particular was excessively loud (must live in the neighborhood). This road is a police/rescue route. Again, the host is not in control of this, this is understood. The host did say she would try to address the dog issue. Highway US41 is about a mile away with no traffic noise from Highway US41 or I75. The host was very responsive and a very good communicator. We would stay here again. Every place has drawbacks, this place met our needs and had few drawbacks. Again, we enjoyed our stay. Thanks Julie.
