The Space:
Important: This property rents for full weeks (Saturday to Saturday) during peak season. Do not book shorter than 7 nights without contacting us first as unapproved short-stay reservations will be canceled.
Merry Mermaid is tucked away on North Cape San Blas in the San Dunes community, just one road back from the Gulf-front homes. Guests enjoy access to the community pool and a convenient boardwalk leading straight to sugar-white sands and the clear waters of the Gulf.
Outdoor & Entry Level
On the ground floor you’ll find a spacious carport, a propane grill for easy cookouts, and an outdoor shower—perfect for rinsing off after a beach day. Step inside and you’re welcomed by a foyer with a stackable washer and dryer, making it simple to refresh towels and swimsuits for tomorrow’s adventures.
First Floor – Sleeping Level
Upstairs on the first floor are three bedrooms and a shared hallway bath.
Bedroom 1: King bed, smart TV
Bedroom 2: Queen bed
Bedroom 3 (Primary Suite): King bed, smart TV, private balcony, and en-suite bath
Just off the primary suite is a charming bonus nook featuring custom twin-over-twin bunk beds—an extra cozy spot for kids or additional guests.
Second Floor – Living & Gathering Space
The second floor is the heart of the home, with the main living area, kitchen, dining space, a fourth bedroom, and a hall bath. The living room opens to a balcony with Gulf views and a relaxing swing—an ideal place for morning coffee or sunset lounging. Gather everyone around the custom dining table that comfortably seats 10.
Kitchen Amenities
The kitchen is thoughtfully stocked with vacation in mind, including a dishwasher, microwave, blender, coffee maker, crock pot, dishes and silverware, cookware, utensils, glassware, and more—everything you need for meals at home.
Important Notes
Merry Mermaid is a non-smoking home.
Pets are not allowed.

Relax in this comfortably decorated, well-maintained home packed with amenities. The Loggerhead Run Bike Path—an 8-mile paved trail stretching the length of Cape San Blas from St. Joseph Peninsula State Park to Salinas Park—is just up the road and perfect for walking, jogging, or biking.
Your reservation also includes a $250 beach gear credit! Choose from bikes, coolers, beach chairs and umbrellas, wagons, kayaks, paddleboards, and more. Everything is delivered right to the home and waiting for you when you arrive.
Monthly Stays
Monthly reservations are accepted in January and February. Call or email for monthly rates.
Guest Access:
There will be a guest information book inside of the home with local area info, restaurants, etc.
San Dunes Policies
The following are policies that should be followed by owners and communicated to any guests or
renters.
1. Animals are not allowed in the San Dunes pool.
2. Animals should be on leashes at all times.
3. Owners and guests may walk on the right of way and the easements, not across private
property.
4. The pathways to the boardwalks between Lots 1 and 2 and Lots 3 and 4 must be kept clear.
Cars may not park in the easements to the boardwalk nor may equipment be placed in the
walkway.
5. Cars may not park on the easement or on another owner’s private property. NO cars may use
the driveways leading to the boardwalks unless they are of the owners/renters of the houses
owning those driveways.
6. Music and loud noises should cease by 10:00 p.m.
7. All pool rules should be followed.
8. Trash cans should be moved back to the house on the day of trash pickup.
9. Any exterior lighting on a homeowner’s property shall be turned off by 10 PM and may not be
left on overnight. (During Turtle Season, May – Oct 31, outside lights must be off at sundown,
however, if pool lights are not visible past the pool enclosure, they can they stay on until
10:00.)
10. No boats, trailers, or motor homes shall be stored on any Lot, except underneath a structure in a
place that is concealed with screening or foundation walls. (Covenants Article VII. F. 1.)
11. Shark fishing is prohibited by San Dunes residents and renters in and around San Dunes.
12. The pool has a capacity of 15 people. Guests and residents should use the pool for no more
than 2 hours at a time and may not leave items at the pool when they leave.
13. Please park in the designated driveway of Merry Mermaid. The cobblestone path beside the unit is not property of Merry Mermaid. Driving on it is strictly prohibited.
