”This place is surrounded by nature. We wanted to stay in a quiet area. As we were getting out of the car on the hotel parking lot, it was so disappointing to hear the first train go by. Room was large and they tried to give us a room as far away from the train tracks, but it didn’t help. This is something you might want to be aware of.”

”Love this hotel because it is on a small kettle lake near the National Park. Our room had a patio overlooking the lake which was great for casual birding in the morning and evening. Convenient to restaurants and shopping. Can't wait to see the remodeled rooms and lobby when completed! This is our new favorite place to stay when visiting family in the area.”

”The only nice thing about this place was the staff. In our room, there was a small rust colored stain on the bedspread typical of bed bugs and I had a bite on torso. The shower curtain was heavily stained and the bedside tables were not wiped clean. The next AM there were large ants on the breakfast counter. And the food was old. Also, from the hotel's rewards program, I got a phone call to visit a timeshare demo afterward. Staying away from this place and this brand.”

”This is a wonderful old Victorian that they did a great job updating. Housekeeping needs to pay a little more attention to some spaces. The heater air conditioner has some black spots on it. And next to the stove has crumbs. I am not able to use stairs very well and there wasn't an option on check-in to request a first floor accommodation or a way to indicate before booking the room what that was going to look like which limited my ability to transport personal items to the room. I'm also unsure...

”So obviously they have been remodeling. The new updated flooring looks so much better. The room we had ; had an old shower with mold. Definitely need to replace the showers! The tub in my room was AWESOME! I loved the lake view . Although during our stay our privacy “fence” broke so we really couldn’t enjoy it the next day. But they did send maintenance pretty fast to fix . Which was great! TVs are small, maybe a little update on TVs too! Staff was nice and friendly. Although they shouldn’t...

”Check in to the hotel is kinda annoying since its on the other side of the complex and parking near to the hotel is non existent. The pool was also closed.”

”On site restaurant and bar were convenient and very nice. Walkable to restaurants. Very close to Indiana Dunes. Good WiFi. Clean. Hot tub and pool missed the mark in my opinion. Pool was rather chilly and hot tub doesn’t have bubbles. Maintenance said the tub is a spa so doesn’t have to.”

”The hotel is conveniently located just off of the highway with a variety of shopping near by. The staff was warm and welcoming, and went above and beyond to get our large group checked in and met all of our room requests.”
