”This place is surrounded by nature. We wanted to stay in a quiet area. As we were getting out of the car on the hotel parking lot, it was so disappointing to hear the first train go by. Room was large and they tried to give us a room as far away from the train tracks, but it didn’t help. This is something you might want to be aware of.”

”We loved it. We had our five grandkids with us and they were entertained the entire time we were there. We all enjoyed the pool, hot tub and the game room. It's a short drive to Indiana dunes. Would highly recommend this place. Hoping to return next year. Kim and Don were great hosts.”

The house is so clean, bright, and beautiful, and every little detail and convenience has been considered by the hosts. Add to that the absolutely stunning views and the convenient beach access and it really makes for a one of a kind getaway. ”We just loved "The Nook"! The home and grounds were very clean and well stocked with supplies. Hiked, played games, went to the beach, played Bocce Ball in the huge yard. We also made s'mores around the fire pit and had a family table tennis match. The game room above the garage was well used...a favorite place. It was nice that the kitchen was so big that everyone could eat at the same time. Thank you, Penny!”
