This home was perfection! Clean, comfortable and in a great location. Even though it was one a busy street, it was quiet and there was easy parking available. Beautiful decor, and well appointed. Loved it and we will definitely book again in the future.

Beautiful place and comfortable stay

We had a great stay here and loved how walkable it was. Beds were comfortable and my husband enjoyed working from the deck. We had our two dogs and they enjoyed the space as well

Pretty Portland

We absolutely LOVED our rental! The place was spotless! It had all of the comforts of home! (everything listed in the description and lots more!) The location was fantastic! Lots of places nearby to eat, drink, and shop! Sitting out on the upstairs porch was an added plus. We look forward to our next visit.

Super cozy, unique home in an amazing location!

We had been eyeing this location for quite some time, and are so glad it was available for our trip. The upstairs was perfect for the kiddos to have their own space to hang out and play. We loved hanging out in the living and dining rooms as well. And best of all, we could easily walk to amazing restaurants and shops, even Powell's! Really easy drive to other spots of interest too. And super friendly owner, excellent communications, and easy check in and out.

Great location and great house

The location is amazing! Walking distance to so many restaurants we loved and two parks for our pup and baby. The house itself was very nice, and had everything we needed and more. So many games and books to look at and play, a nicely stocked kitchen with ziploc bags, pots and pans, and utensils. Host was responsive to messages. One of the best rentals we’ve ever stayed in.

Amazing place in an amazing location!

I came up to Portland to visit with some friends and go to the TPK brewery. Communication with the host was easy and clear. The rental is in a perfect location, within walking distance of a never ending list of great restaurants and bars. Everything we needed was provided by the host and had no issues during our stay. Thank you for everything!

Great location, family friendly

The location was amazing for exploring Hawthorne and the surrounding area. We stayed with our two little kids and dogs. Comfortable stay, nice and clean, with great communication from the host and seamless self serve check in and out. Would definitely recommend.

Beautiful once you’re inside

Overall, this unit (top 2 floors in a house with 4 units) is super nice, w/a great layout for 3 separate sleeping areas, fantastic water pressure and tasteful decor. The location is near one end of the busy Hawthorne neighborhood, with great food and amenities right outside your door. If all goes smoothly, you’ll have a great stay there. We, however, had some glitches that really impacted our stay. I’ve been using VRBO since the late 90s and this was a first. There was a mixup with the cleaners initially (not Jacob’s fault), which was quickly remedied while we went out to dinner by a lovely cleaning staff. The very old door, with some original hardware, had been recently painted and required a pretty hefty hip check to enter. It then completely broke during a heatwave, and after a long walk, locking us out for 3+ hrs w/no way to reach the owner or alt contact. This wiped me out so much I forfeited tickets to a family event that night, including seeing the aurora borealis for first/only time. This was a real disappointment. There is also a huge construction project next door, with large machinery active from 7am on weekdays. I wrote to ask about this prior to our trip and was told that construction was finished and wouldn’t impact our trip. There is also currently no deck on the front of the house, so the front door is the only access to the outside. I think we had a series of unfortunate events that are unlikely to happen again to anyone. I seriously do recommend this unit

Portland Gem

Quick getaway for the weekend to visit our daughter who is attending OSU and was pleasantly surprised with how easy it was to walk out the front door and have access to so many wonderful shops and restaurants. The Cuban restaurant across the street is a MUST! We marked this as a favorite and will make sure to visit again.

Great Location

Great location in the heart of Hawthorne. Never had a worry about safety. The home had such historic charm and the host was very welcoming. Great communication from booking to checkout. Would definitely stay here again.

Love this property. Great location, near many restaurants and cute shops. Within walking distance to other cool neighborhoods. Beautiful apartment that is spacious with a nice area on the top floor that can be used as work space. Will definitely stay again.

Eclectic, functional & full of charm!

Our family of five absolutely loved this beautiful house in a very cool neighborhood. Location was super convenient as it is close to the airport as well as near great restaurants. We got in late and appreciated ordering take out from the Cuban restaurant across the street… and eating it in the well decorated dining room. Plenty of sleeping arrangements for our tall teens and the property manager was very responsive and accommodating. We will be choosing this property again when we return to the area.

Very cool rental in a great neighborhood

We really enjoyed our time here. We were 4 adults—two in their 20s—and the house itself and the location were both terrific. The owners clearly have made efforts to make the stay both comfortable and memorable: great bedding, nice eco bath products, very cool decor, lots of books to borrow, games to play, ROKU enabled TV, guides to Portland, a thoughtful supply of kitchen spices, etc. And Hawthorne Street is super fun, with everything you want within a few blocks: lots of restaurant options, groceries, yoga, coffee, independent stores, bars, great walkability to other cool neighborhoods, etc. The only things that weren’t ideal were that there was a large construction project happening right next door, and the work started at 7-7:30am (weekdays) or 8am (Saturday). It was loud and unexpected. This is also a shoe-free rental, which we didn’t know until after we booked it. It’s understandable: It’s a two-unit property, and this rental is upstairs, so the no-shoe policy keeps the noise at minimum for the people downstairs (maybe the owner?). And, well, shoes are dirty! Yet … it’s cold in November in Portland! And having to take shoes off downstairs and walk up cold wooden stairs into a wood-floored apartment (there are area rugs in all the rooms), was definitely not as comfortable as we’d have liked. Despite these things, we loved the space, the neighborhood, the care put into the space, and the helpful communication with the owner. I definitely recommend.

Great Hawthorne House!

Great location directly on Hawthorne, walking distance to plenty of bars and restaurants. 4 nice queen beds and a huge house easily fit our group of adults. (And dog friendly!) We had 3 cars and never had an issue street parking within a block of the house. Check in/out was easy, coded front door. Will definitely stay again!

Great location, comfortable accomodations

We stayed here with a small group of friends for 5 nights and had a great stay. Jacob was very friendly and helpful. The unit is as pictured- comfortable, clean, and very well stocked. The location is great - tons of food and shops along Hawthorne, and a pretty 0.5mi walk south through a cute neighborhood to Division Street. Would definitely recommend!

Lovely stay in the heart of Portland

We had a lovely time. The host was very communicative and clear with the check in and check out process. Nine of us stayed there comfortably- eight of us sharing 4 beds and one on the futon. The host had an air mattress as well. Loved the location. Hawthorne is such a lovely area. Would stay here again!
