  • The Space
    Enjoy a relaxing stay in this highly convenient apartment featuring stunning river views and a fully equipped kitchen (complete with a dishwasher and washing machine for your convenience). Its privileged location makes it the perfect home base to seamlessly explore the riverside area of Gaia and the vibrant city of Porto, mostly on foot or by a quick metro ride.

    Check-in and Check-out Details
    - Self Check-in: Allowed and encouraged. Please note that if you are arriving after 10:00 PM, we are unable to provide remote support upon arrival.
    - In-person Check-in: Requires you to provide your arrival time at least 48 hours in advance. If you do not arrive within 30 minutes of the scheduled time, the host may need to leave and a new appointment will be required (subject to availability).
    - Late Arrivals: In-person check-ins after 10:00 PM require prior confirmation and incur an additional fee of €25.
    - Late Check-out: Failure to comply with the standard check-out time will result in a €25 charge for each hour of delay.

    House Rules and General Guidelines
    - Occupancy: The facilities can only be used by registered guests. Stays of unaccompanied minors are strictly not allowed.
    - Pets: We welcome 1 small animal per reservation. To avoid noise and/or damage, pets cannot be left unattended in the apartment. Owners must ensure cleanliness and hygiene within the apartment and building.
    - Keys: Please be mindful of your keys. In case of non-return, a fee of €100 will be charged for each pair of keys or remote. If you leave the keys inside the house during your stay, an unlock fee applies: €50 (weekdays between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM) or €100 (weekends, holidays, and other times).
    - Sustainability and Services: We promote the sustainable use of resources; excessive consumption may be charged. Additionally, subscribing to TV channels not included in our standard package will incur an extra charge for the corresponding service.
    - Environment: Portugal's climate can be hot and humid, which may occasionally encourage small insects. While we use regular pest control, we ask for your help to prevent them by keeping doors closed, properly disposing of garbage in the designated bins, and storing food responsibly. We cannot offer refunds for occasional insects.
    - Respect the Space: Please treat the house as if it were your own and leave everything as you found it. A digital dossier with more detailed rules is posted in the apartment.

    Taxes and Additional Services
    - ID and City Tax: All guests must present a valid ID. A city tax is applied to all guests staying at properties located in Vila Nova de Gaia.
    - Extra Cleaning: Mid-stay cleaning can be provided upon request for an extra cost of €60 per stay.
    - Baby Crib: Children under 2 years old can be accommodated in a crib for €30 (pre-booking is required).

Great location with lots of space to relax.

We had a great stay at the apartment. Right on the yellow metro line. Apartment was spacious with plenty of space for the four adults. Kitchen was fully stocked and had everything we needed for our stay.

La nostra casa a Porto e non solo

Una casa accogliete, ben attrezzata ed in ottima posizione per visitare Porto e non solo. Puoi raggiungere il cuore della città in metropolitana, che ferma pochi metri da casa, o con una spettacolare camminata attraversando il ponte Dom Luis I. La sua posizione è favorevole anche per raggiungere facilmente in auto destinazioni fuori della città. Imperdibile la valle del Douro. Per chi come noi viaggia con un pulmino, fuori misura per il garage, nei pressi c’è un comodo parcheggio pubblico dal costo di 6 euro giornaliero.

Great stay near Porto!

Great apartment in Gaia, a short metro ride or walk to Porto. Sonia and her team communicated regularly, and check in was very easy. We even had a welcome bottle of Port! Apartment was well appointed and had a great location. We literally walk downstairs to the metro stop as well as walked to multiple Port lodges and the riverfront. Only issue was a very noisy family upstairs with small kids who decided get revved up after 12AM. But those things happen. Thank you again, Sonia, for the wonderful stay!

Perfect Porto Stay

This was the fourth place we stayed in during 3 weeks in Europe and, we all agreed, it was the best by far. Spacious, comfortable, clean, well-stocked with basic necessities, and with all the comforts of home. The apartment is on the fourth floor (with elevator) and has great views of the city and the Duoro river. When booking, I was a bit concerned that we weren't actually staying in Porto, but in Gaia. In fact, this was a plus. The immediate neighborhood had everything we could ask for - easy access to shopping, restaurants, and sightseeing possibilities. The tram/metro was a stone's throw away and only three short stops across the river and into Porto. (Actually walkable for those of us with no mobility issues)Our host, Sonia, was very accommodating. We were welcomed with samples of the area's famous port wine, and, later, Sonia texted us background information on the big Festival of St John the Baptist, which we were fortunate to witness the night before leaving Porto. Staying here was a perfect end to our vacation. Thanks Sonia!

Great Apartment Just Across the Douro.

Excellent vacation rental in a relatively uncrowded neighborhood of Villa Nova de Gaia across the Douro River and accesible to Douro by a quick walk (fifteen or twenty minutes - about a mile) over the super scenic main bridge to the Center of the City. Clean, spacious and comfortable. It's in an apartment building on a large avenue, so city noise can be heard at the front of the apartment but not at all from the bedrooms. Well equipped kitchen with multiple coffee makers and everything needed to fix breakfast or to spend an evening eating in. Two markets within a five minute stroll. Two baths with showers (one with a bidet!). One shower is European style: bathtub with a hand held shower - totally usable but may be an adjustment for Americans. The apartment has a washer, and a couple options to hang laundry. Linens and towels changed twice during our two week stay. Convenient in-building parking, though the space is small and very tightly angled by North American standards. Sonia and her colleagues were very responsive and helpful day and night. This is a great choice for groups of four to six.

Porto

Our host Sonia was very welcoming. She left a carafe of Port wine that was very good. We wanted more but decided that we would adventure out and taste different wines. Sonia is a very pleasant and caring person. She was our source for things to do and places to go. She was worried that the rain would spoil our visit to Porto but in spite of the rain we had a fantastic time. The apartment is located in a fantastic area - Camara Gaia. The metro stop is about 200 meters from the front entrance. It is easy to get the train to downtown Porto and back. The tour bus stops are right at the entrance of the apartment. Since we booked tours on the yellow line we were able to pick up the tour right at the entrance - stop 8 - to the apartment. We always took the train back to the apartment (a 10 to 15 minute ride depending on what station you got on) since the last tour bus leaves at 5PM (1700 hours) and we were out sightseeing after that time. There are numerous small cafes around the building with two located in the plaza of the building. The apartment had all of the necessities for our visit and many that we did not use. It even has a parking space which we used since we came via car. With the train running right in front of the apartment, we did not have any noise from the train passing. The windows in the apartment filtered out most of the sounds. It’s a 3 bedroom apartment with two bathrooms. One bathroom is in the master bedroom while the other is in the hallway. We had no complaints with the apartment other than the bathroom in the hallway. The bathroom in the hallway drains slowly. As such, when you use it you are essentially showering with your feet immersed in water. Also once someone has taken a shower, you have to wait a few minutes for the water to drain before someone else can shower. While we were told that the bathroom drained slowly by Sonia, it still was not what we expected. I hope that this is a problem that can be fixed because it is not a pleasant experience. But absent of this we will recommend the accommodation.

Ideal city break

Great apartment with plenty of room for our two teens, with everything we needed including a welcome glass of port. Conveniently located between two metro stops, plenty of shops (Lidl 350m away) and restaurants nearby, and a short walk to Jardim Morro to watch the sunset. Sónia was welcoming, and on hand if we needed help.

Impresive Porto apartment

Excellent accomodation, communication, facilities and supurb location. Family friendly, tram stop 100 meters. Assisted check in with run through of facilities. Hghly recommended! Arranged airport transport which was very efficient.

The property manager was very quick and responsive to our questions. Arranged transport from the airport for us which was very advantageous. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking. We had a very nice stay in Porto.

Great time in Porto!

We really enjoyed our stay in Porto! Lots of things to see and explore. The apartment was comfortable and in a great location. Thanks for making our stay so great!

A fantastic property that can handle 6 guests with the 3 bedroom. Great location across the river.

Lovely apartment. With the metro basically out front, it was easy to get around.

Appartement fonctionnel et bien situé

Appartement bien équipé pour 3 couples nous avions suffisamment de places avec le confort nécessaire. Seul bémol concernant les somiers qui ne sont que des planches et qui rendent les lits durs et bruyants.
