”Check-in was easy with 24h reception. Pedro, the owner is a cool guy, offered me a glass of Porto wine and upgraded me to a bigger room. The rest of the staff doesn't exactly shine in smiling but all good. Room felt clean, spacious and seemed recently renovated. Bed and pillows were super comfortable (if you like them on the harder side like I do) and the bathroom is small but essential and pretty clean. Area may seem far for the center but it's very walkable and quiet too. I'd definitely go...

”You have to leave the camino for a bit and walk from the trail to the ocean...but my phone showed me the way ...you check in at the realtors office next to the building...nice woman ..walked me over to my room....spotless, big bed...good shower...upstairs has an indoor outdoor patio that overlooks the ocean...and breakfast there the next morning ...all good....j”

”Best location on Matosinhos. 1-minute walk to Sul Matosinhos metro, 5 minutes to the beach, and plenty of restaurants and good groceries around. Chsrming property. The walls are pretty tin and staircase is squeaking a lot. temperature control goes random at time and door locks are tiny. great housekeeping service. Overall i recommend and will consider booking again.”

Fire alarm started ringing in the middle of the night After extensive searching found a number to the proprietor. ”Incredible stay at Maison Cabral. I cannot praise the property manager Susanna enough for her amazing hospitality. My flight to Porto was canceled so we had to drive from Madrid and Susanna checked on our bags (which had flown without us) and arranged for a late check/in. She gave us the best local restaurant recommendations - go to BB Gourmet and Nicolau- and even couriered over a bracelet that I left behind to my next hotel. "The hotel is new ( about ½ years old), so everything works well. The room and the bathroom were very functional. The breakfast is tasty and has plenty of variety. The quality of food is high. The location is good. it is just at the edge of center and there are excellent transport to the riverside either with buses ( 501 or 503 )or metro from Trinidad station. "

" Huone oli pimeä, mutta lamppuja säätämällä huoneen sai tarpeeksi valoisaksi. Metro asema oli lähellä, josta hyvät kulkuyhteydet kaikkialle. Nurkan takana oli kiva paikallinen pieni ravintola (Nautilus). Henkilökunta oli ihan ok. Perus 3 tähden hotelli. "
