”This was a lovely old charming house in a great location—lots of space and a nice garden. One of the bedrooms and bathrooms is located on the basement/garden level and has some sewage-like odor, so sleeping in that space did not work out for us. The house was otherwise very convenient but hot since no AC was available. Unfortunately, construction in the neighborhood was happening from 7 am to 6 pm on both sides of the house, and the noise levels (73bD) were stressful. Communication was ok;...

”Location is everything here, close enough to all you want to see and do, yet far enough to get the local experience. We are regular VRBO users and also are hosts for our property in the US. Jose contacted us, met us at the unit and the. Asked to take us for a 30 min orientation of the neighbourhood so we knew where everything was. Lots of great information and we went from being in a forest to a welcoming park in the 30 min. Coffee and pasteis de nata. We would definitely recommend this unit...

”This place in Gaia is great because we love to walk everywhere. We are a family of 5 with older teens. It is very close to the cables car entrance, which is great at sunset, and close to wonderful restaurants. Douro-Velho was so good that we went there twice for dinner in the short 3 nights that we stayed in Gaia. We are already planning our next trip to Portugal because we really needed more time. And we can’t wait to see it again soon. This is a great place to visit and spend a least a week.”

”the house was perfect for 6 ladies travelling for a 60th birthday. The house has 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms which was really spacious for us all. There is an outdoor terrance that gets afternoon sun which was a perfect setting for a drink in the evening. The house is around a mile from the centre of Porto, which was perfect for us to get breakfast on our walk into Porto, Taxis are easy to get for those who don't like to walk. We would choose this house again if there was a group of us visiting...

”Das Haus ist von Grund auf saniert, modern und zweckmässig eingerichtet und passt für - wie wir finden - max. 4 Personen. Es könnten noch 2 Leute auf der Ausziehcouch im Wohnzimmer schlafen , aber die Bad- und Frühstückssituation wäre für uns unvorstellbar beengt. Die Lattenroste der beiden Einzelbetten knarren leider so laut dass man erwacht, wenn man sich im Schlafe dreht.. Die Anbindung an ÖPNV ist sehr gut. Die Buchung und Kommunikation mit der Vermieterin klappte sehr gut. Echt zu...

”The house was very nice with lots of space and great views of Porto. It is located just across the river. It is about a 10 minute walk down to old town, which has restaurants and shops. A quick walk across the bridge from old town and you are in the heart of Porto. There is a great bakery just up the street from the house that stopped at every morning. There are also local places nearby for Fado and dinner. Great place. Highly recommended.”

”The home is lovely! Lots of bedrooms and space. The dining table is large. The house setting and yard is spacious serene, and relaxing. Great parking. The house could have provided ice, bathroom soaps and shampoos, bottled water, sugar, larger coffee maker, etc like most standard vrbo's to have been perfect. Also label the garbage cans for us foreigners.”

”Easy check-in at the hotel, a few doors down from the apartment. Excellent friendly staff, always willing to help. Great location, just 2 minutes walk from the waterfront. Great characteristic apartment with super comfy beds and wooden shutters on the window's to keep you cool. I cannot fault the place, we had an amazing time and i have to say these are one of the best apartments we have ever stayed in. Hugely recommend a stay here.”
