”We loved this beautiful guesthouse and our gracious, welcoming hosts. Nelly’s jams and Franck’s yogurt were a delight at breakfast. If you are staying in Sarlat, try to stay here. It is a bit removed from the medieval city, though only a few minutes by car, or an easy walk. We really appreciated the peace and quiet. ”

”A lovely family run hotel with attention to detail and great service. Great location, with a super pool (great for kids). Beautiful views across the hillsides. Breakfast was delicious and very fresh. Friday night BBQ and live music was a lovely experience. We visited a local Thai restaurant on Friday evening, as recommended by the hotel - they weren’t wrong. It was really tasty and the service excellent. All in all would highly recommend and would love to return to Hotel L’Abbaye!”

”Sarlat is a beautiful city, and La Villa des Consuls is an equally beautiful hotel. It has everything: wonderful/helpful staff, brilliant location, excellent service, and great breakfast. Staying at La Villa des Consuls made our visit to Sarlat and the surrounding area memorable. ”

”We loved our stay at this property. The hosts were so friendly and welcoming. They provided us with a delicious dinner on out first night and waking up to breakfast each morning was such a treat. Everything is home made and fresh! I also had a lovely massage which I would highly recommend. The pool area is relaxing and picturesque, while our gite had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We hope we can come backa again soon, ”
