If you are a fan of Victorian decor and want to experience historic San Francisco architecture this place is for you. First or all, San Francisco neighborhoods can be hit or miss. ”Location, staff, and decor are great. It is a little dated but you gotta appreciate the dedication to Victorian charm. The rooms and also very spacious. Unfortunately, there was some trash left on the floor of our room when we checked in and the bathroom sink drain was clogged. Comfy beds, though! ”

”I had issues (twice...) with the codes not working when trying to enter my room which made me feel unsafe especially when this happened midnight. Reception is not open after 10pm so I received help via Whatsapp and staff was helpful. Other things that lower my rating were the metal beds that made a lot of noise. Also the whole floor only had 2 showers working. I have never had to wait to shower in hostel before. I wish toilets had more hooks to put towels/clothes in and rooms had mirrors....

”It has good location on quiet street. Free parking. Excellent service on front desk. The hotel was dated, but pretty clean. Earplugs are must. Breakfast is free, it includes coffee, bread, eggs and cereals. The hotel bit pricey for value, but i think in SF it might be difficult to find good hotels for decent price. Overall this is OK place for few days stay ”

”The noise from traffic on Lombard Street was bad. The location was great! The lights were confusing to use in the room.”

”Parking was available and a plus. The room was clean but very basic. Nothing to write home about. We stayed on the 1st floor ground level. The hot water for the shower did not seem to work. For a quick overnight is was ok. I would definitely try a different place next time.”
