”We booked this as a last minute weekend trip and could not have been happier. It's right on the beach, nicely kept grounds, delightfully friendly dogs, and kind and inviting support staff. The small cantina on site was nice for just realxing at in the afternoon/evening.”

”The pirate retreat is a great spot. Yes there could be some fixes here and there but the view and feeling like you’re floating above the waves more than makes up for some deferred maintenance. The retreat I would give five stars but for the overall property I need to deduct one star as there were big parties which took over the rest of the property and made the other amenities that usable. ”Very clean, the common areas and the unit where we stayed at, but very outdated, not pleasant to see. It was ok for our 1-night stay. For starters, the way to get to the unit, it's a very dangerous spiral stairs that don't feel very secure. The door knob to enter into the unit was not secured properly (wiggly) and not easy to open since the key would get stuck. The closet of the room smelled like mold due to a hole in the wall that is right behind the bathroom, where the tub is placed. Pillows...

”I thought it was a stand alone home but it's not. It was the 3rd story of a building and very narrow dirty and steep stairs took us up which passed strangers sitting and eating on their balcony.
Unit didn't have all things for cooking and needed to be rewashed for sure.
Don't leave anything on the balcony because it will be gone!”
