”Our experience at the Westin Princeville during the hurricane was incredibly disappointing, and what happened afterward made it way worse.
Because of the hurricane and resulting conditions on Kauai, we were effectively stranded at the hotel for an additional two days. We had no choice but to extend our stay because travel and road conditions made it impossible for us to leave as planned.
I understand that Marriott did not cause the hurricane and I never expected the hotel to somehow be...

”We stayed at the outrigger for 7 nights on our honeymoon. It was almost 2 months since the hurricane so some damage and operations outages were to be expected. I just wish we had a little heads up about what wasn’t working yet, like the outside pool bar and pool limitations, since I called a few weeks in advance to ask. We opted for one of the rooms upon booking that hasn’t been remodeled but our issues with cleanliness was mostly from lack of maid services. They promised at least limited...

”We can't understand how this hotel has a 5 star rating. We travel several weeks a year around the world and I've relied on reviews until now, but...
The main pool is full of screaming children, so if you're an adult without children, it's not for you. The adult pool was small and secluded with no amenities. The only restaurant in the hotel is a bar by the main pool, which honestly can't be called a restaurant. The "Deluxe studios" are in separate 3-story buildings with dingy and untidy hallways....

”There is a $25.00 fee per day for the condo (on top of our Expedia charges) and a $15.00 fee for a parking space, also per day. The facility is very nice, the unit had a washer/dryer and two small boxes of laundry soap. I thought it was a bit stingy of them to tell me that I had to buy coffee after depleting the 'sample' coffee by the pot. The location is an hour north of the airport, which when you arrive at night, is a bit of a drive in the dark. I wouldn't stay there again.”

”Toimiva rantahotelli palveluineen. Näkymä uima-altaalle ja valtamerelle oli hieno. Ilmainen pysäköinti isolla parkkialueella. Hotellin aamiaisella myös buffet vaihtoehto, jossa melko hyvä tarjonta. Kävelyetäisyydellä jonkun verran palveluja, mutta en suosittele pimeällä kävelyä, koska katuvalot eivät olleet käytössä. Auto oltava käytössä.”

”If you are planning a stay at Poipu, stay at Ko’a Kea. It is a small boutique property but experienced enough to provide great service, grounds and food. The property was well maintained and clean. It is right at the oceanfront and our room faced it, just steps away. Everything we ate and drank from the bar menu and Red Salt was superb. There are a some things that could be improved that are not Hurricane Lowell related. The bathroom and shower could use updated tile and trim and a double sink....
