I was extremely disappointed in the house and opted not to stay for the weekend. I reached out to the host twice, once to confirm my large dog would be welcome and another time to let him know I felt the house was misrepresented and wouldn’t be staying. Neither time did he respond. I read all the reviews and I feel like there was a lot of things people left out. First of all there is no real fireplace. There is a plug in one in the main space which only has a table and some chairs and a pellet stove in the basement with a pool table and a small couch that made it impossible for my husband and I to even sit and relax. I booked it for the ability to relax by a fire in a cozy cabin and there was not enough space for even the two of us to be comfortable. The outside looked beautiful and maybe at a different time of year we could have enjoyed it but we had a long week and came to the cabin to rest and relax. It is not conducive for that. In addition I want to add that there are two deer heads outside the front door that are absolutely terrifying. Getting in was simple and the place seemed clean but there is no where to kick back and relax anywhere other than a small couch in the basement. Also the area isn’t as remote and private as it claims. It’s in a neighborhood and not a very nice one.
