”The location is convenient to walk to town. The first few photos on the Expedia listing show a lovely play park- this is not part of the hotel and is actually 3.5km away. We booked this property as we have a small child, but this property is a series of dreary apartments around a small car park. There is no garden or play area. We booked via Expedia and included in the booking that we have a small child. On arrival we were charged an additional 15 euros for the cot bed. This is ridiculous...

”I REALLY recommend it! Big room (number 6), double bed, fridge, everything you need! Good buffet breakfast for 9€ in a small same owner hotel next door👍 The room discount price was about 190€ for 5 nights, price-quality ratio PERFECT! Good restaurants and pub right next door and a small Supermarket across the road 10 meters away. Taxi to the train station 4€🌞 Walking distance 2.5km Prievidza Airport (Gliding competitions) or taxi 3€. A full 10 Star holiday, Thank you!”

”The hotel is beautiful. Zuzka was wonderful. She was patient, very efficient, kind and her English is excellent, which we really appreciated. Thank you again Zuzka! Hope to see you again! Jessica and the USA band Vio-lence. ”

”Let's start with the positives. The reception desk and café staff, were incredibly helpful and kind. The room was clean. The dining space was updated and clean and the staff did their best. The grounds were well kept. The negative were the other staff. No one spoke English and did not attempt to communicate in any other language, verbal or non-verbal. Listing a property on Expedia should include mention that English is not widely spoken when appropriate. Except for the cave steam bath, there...

”This place is perfect, I would recommend it very highly. It is very clean, the bed was really comfortable and the host was very helpful! ”

”Siisti huone ja hyvällä paikalla.”

”Upea pieni kaupunki ja hotelli todellakin minun mieleeni, pidin paikasta paljon upea vanha rakennus ja ihan keskustassa.

Experiencia bem ruim”

”Beautiful views, plenty parking, breakfast was satisfactory. We would stay again.”

”Personal & essen ”

”This is a very posh, small (24 room) 5* hotel, located right in the center of the small town of Banska Stiavnica. We were the only guests that night, because the hotel had blocked reservations to get organized for the summer season (and forgot to block Expedia). The hotel owner was working the desk, and was extremely friendly and helpful. There is convenient and secure parking under the hotel. There are a few tourist attractions in town (most interesting - the mine tour) and there are other...
