Welcome to one of the oldest courtyard ensembles in Quedlinburg – our “Himmlischer Hof”, with a fascinating history dating back to 1477. Here, you experience authentic timber-framed heritage in the heart of a romantic UNESCO World Heritage town.
The spacious “Morgenglanz” holiday apartment for 6–8 guests is the highlight of our baroque wing and is accessed via a beautiful historic staircase. Spanning approx. 100 m² across two levels—from the first floor to the converted attic—it offers plenty of space for a relaxing stay in this unique historic monument.
The apartment combines modern comfort with natural, eco-friendly materials. Underfloor heating, allergy-friendly flooring, clay plaster, and natural elements create a healthy indoor climate—many guests say they sleep like in heaven. After a day exploring Quedlinburg, unwind by the wood-burning stove or relax in the romantic courtyard.
On the first floor, you’ll find a cozy living room with sofa bed (140 cm), fireplace, books, games, radio, and TV—perfect for relaxing evenings overlooking the courtyard and historic rooftops. The fully equipped kitchen with island includes a dishwasher, oven, ceramic hob, refrigerator, coffee machine, and Nespresso machine. There is also a modern bathroom with walk-in shower, underfloor heating, and hairdryer, as well as a bedroom with a double bed made from two beautifully carved solid wood beds (each 80 × 200 cm).
The attic level, accessed via an internal staircase, offers two additional bedrooms—one with a double bed (160 × 200 cm) and one with two single beds (90 × 200 cm)—as well as a second modern bathroom with walk-in shower and underfloor heating.
Freshly made beds, soft towels, firewood, local Quedlinburg tips, and a small welcome gift are all provided. A private parking space (2–5 minutes walking distance, fee applies) is available—an exceptional convenience in Quedlinburg’s historic old town.
A true highlight is the romantic shared courtyard with a large dining table, cozy seating, hammocks, and a barbecue—an inviting oasis surrounded by historic timber-framed buildings.
The Himmlischer Hof itself has been lovingly restored over many years, preserving nearly 550 years of history while combining it with modern comfort. Natural materials and craftsmanship define every detail—each door is unique, carefully restored and set within ecological clay walls.
In addition to Morgenglanz, two further stylish apartments are available: Sonnenschein (for up to 4 guests) and Abendrot (for 2–3 guests), ideal for couples, families, or groups.
The surrounding Harz Mountains offer year-round experiences—from hiking, cycling, and lakes in summer to sledding, cross-country skiing, and alpine skiing at Wurmberg in winter.
Planning a family gathering or special celebration? The Himmlischer Hof accommodates 12+ guests across all apartments, with generous shared spaces. The courtyard can host events for up to 30 people when all units are booked together.
