Overall, our stay was disappointing due to several issues that significantly affected our experience. We found broken glass on the path leading down to the lake. I had to make sure my kids wore shoes outside. The listing advertised a king bed, but it was actually a full-size trundle bed pushed against another bed to simulate a king. This left a noticeable seam down the middle, making it uncomfortable to sleep on, as your hip rests directly on the crease. The kitchen had a significant ant problem. We found large numbers of ants on the countertops throughout our stay despite repeatedly cleaning them up.The biggest issue was the bathroom. The shower water pressure was little more than a trickle, and the water only stayed lukewarm for about two minutes before turning cold. It wasn't practical for even a single child to take a normal shower, let alone multiple guests. This alone has soured us from any future bookings at this location. One tip for future guests: we discovered that if you turn the shower to full hot and also run the bathroom sink on hot, eventually the water heater in the basement starts knocking loudly, which seemed to indicate that warm water was finally making its way upstairs. At that point, turn off the sink and get into the shower immediately. You'll have a couple of minutes of lukewarm water before it turns cold again. While the location itself was nice and the views were beautiful, these issues had a major impact on our stay and we will not return.
