”Nice, small, family run motel. I've stayed twice in king rooms. The rooms are quite small but comfortable and clean enough for an overnight night place to sleep. Not a lot of counter space in the bathroom. Plenty of hot water and nice pressure in the shower Small fridge and small microwave. Short 5 min walk to great dining options. And a couple of nice looking places right behind that I haven't tried yet. The price is often right and I would stay again.”

The staff is always welcoming and helpful, which truly makes a difference. ”Decadent please to spend a night. Rooms could be little cleaner, bed was good. Shower was ok. Quite close to road so the sounds of traffic might wake you up.”

”Hotel is just very old. In the pictures they were showing renovated rooms but the one I stayed in was in original condition. ”

”Very slipperi barhtubs. As it was said at the receiption, it was a problem for a while, yet they have not done anything about it. My husband fell and we requested a anti-slip bath mat, which they did not have. If they are aware of the problem, why nothing had been done? Breakfast: it’s bad. Attention people with food allergies. The kitchen guy does know what the food is made of, he just heats it. The rooms are cleaned but they still dirty. The carpet floor is filthy, walked with shoes on, too...

”Check in was smooth and staff was kind. Location of hotel was unsafe and pictures of property online were overly enhanced compared to what you see in person. One out of our two rooms was not clean upon stay and we were unable to get ahold of staff to help until second day when cleaners came. Loud surroundings at night with people walking close to doors and testing whether doors were locked, felt unsafe to go to sleep. ”

”The Zen Hotel is a diamond in the middle of Palo Alto! This property is well maintained, the staff is very friendly, the room is decorated with nice touches, and outdoor patio is a unique extra after a day in the car. The room was exceptionally clean, comfy beds and had a full size coffee pot. Excellent breakfast options. The property is very safe with off street parking and a small parking garage. Highly recommend ! ”
