”Less than 1 km from Punakaiki rocks. We rented a 1 bedroom cabin, it was more like a beautiful little home. Well supplied kitchen, sofa in the living room, separate bed and bath area and a laundry sink. A wonderful porch with table and chairs and an outside grill and picnic table. We had a wonderful meal at the restaurant. I highly recommend Punakaiki Beachfront Motels cabins. I wish we could have stayed longer. Very large and welcoming living areas. ”

”We are used to hotels and motels, but decided to try out a private room in a backpackers hostel too. The hostel was clean and quiet and our room was cute, but i would not stay there another night just because the toilets and showers were on the hallway. But a really nice place for backpackers. The decor was cool and lots of room for everyone where to spend time reading books or prepairing meals. ”

”We spend one night here in December. This holiday park is surrounded by sea on one side, cemetery on one side and airfield on the third side. With that in mind, we had a good stay here, with no planes landing or taking off during our stay. (No ghost or zombies either.) The room in which we stayed, was fairly good and equipped, but had a CRT TV, which was a surprise. But well, who watches TV every day when touring New Zealand?
