”We’ve been here twice now (this is our second year) and I don’t really think there’s anywhere else I’d stay. It’s located perfectly between Windermere (for the station) and Bowness and the lake if you want to have a quick nip down. Also well connected to the buses if you want to explore more and didn’t drive down. The staff are incredible - you’re really taken care of well - check in is later, but they’ll gladly keep your bags and take them up to your room if you arrive earlier by train, and...

”We have enjoyed a fantastic 2 night stay, the location was spot on only 2 minutes to Lake Windermere and the ferry landing point. Colin is the perfect host, very attentive, knowledgeable of the area and looked after us well. Breakfast was a lovely; full English in a cosy setting. The room was fine with all amenities. It was our birthdays whilst there and Colin decorated the room, these touches are most appreciated. Definitely recommend 10/10”
