Luxury Villa Mika with private pool near Dubrovnik

LOCATION

We are just far enough away from the crowds, located over the border into the quieter Herzegovina region of BOSNIA. (New faster border channels were completed in December 2019).

Villa Mika is just a 7 minute drive from the beautiful beaches of Srebreno and Milini and the fabulous jewel of the Adriatic, the city of Dubrovnik. The historic city dates back to the 7th Century with its prominent surrounding walls being a highlight for visitors. The walls have been a popular filming location for the fictional city of “King’s Landing” in the television series, “Game of Thrones”.

Our local, 13th century, walled town of Trebinje is a historic delight to explore. The piazzas and cafe bars nestled under the great “Platani” trees are a great place to people watch and enjoy a coffee or ice cream.

There is a newly opened Water Park and in the evening “Vukoje” winery, with a rooftop terrace and restaurant offers diners great views over the town and river Trebisnjica. The town has something for everyone.

Further afield in Bosnia, Mostar and Kravice waterfalls are a fun day out or why not travel further afield to the Fjords of Kotor in Montenegro.

Due to our location and no public transport, car rental is essential.

THE SPACE

We proudly introduce, pet friendly, Villa Mika, whose sublime modern interior enjoys views over the pool and terraces, the mountains and valley to the Adriatic Sea. You will find it hard to tear yourself away from this very comfortable holiday rental, located near Dubrovnik and the beaches but just far enough away from the crowds.

From every angle this villa oozes indoor and outdoor stylish living, with all rooms having a view over the garden to the Adriatic Sea.

Upstairs there are 3 large, comfortable, air-conditioned bedrooms sleeping 6 guests. The Master bedroom has a King-size bed, its own dressing room area and en suite bathroom with a walk-in shower. A further 2 Master rooms with King-sized beds, share a family bathroom with a large walk-in shower.
When you wake in the morning, simply open the curtains and enjoy the natural breathtaking sea views from the comfort of your bed and then wander onto the balcony, to breathe in the clean mountain air-what better way to start the day?

Take a break from the heat and relax in the cool, contemporary designed open plan lounge, with large comfortable sea-blue sofas, satellite TV, internet access, air-conditioning and patio doors opening onto the terraces with sea views. You can enjoy playing cards or a board game or challenge your children to your favourite playstation 4 game. ( 2 controllers are provided but bring your own games) .
For the cooler months relax and cosy-up around the wood burning indoor fire, playing one of the games or just listening to your favourite tunes from the UE Boom Box.

The fully fitted kitchen, complete with a food preparation island and a couple of bar stools, makes a great place to have a snack or breakfast.
It is well equipped with a microwave, dishwasher, coffee machine with milk frother and an ice making machine. It is all there to make cooking so much easier and allowing you more time to holiday. Adjoining the kitchen is a large modern dining table and chairs for you all to enjoy meals together, in the cooler months.

There is a separate laundry room with a washing machine, a drying rack with pegs and a safe for your personal belongings. Additionally downstairs there is a guest cloakroom with WC.

If you don’t fancy cooking indoors then we have a built-in BBQ and kitchen area, complete with a sink and a very convenient fridge, to keep your drinks well chilled! The large dining table and chairs allows you to dine alfresco by the pool whilst taking in the views. At the end of the day, what better way to finish than sitting on the ottomans, around the firepit catching up with each other and deciding on tomorrow's adventure!

The beautiful terraces surrounding the villa offer something for everyone.
Sunbathe by your own private pool, on one of the 4 comfortable sun loungers, with occasional tables and a large umbrella to offer some shade. For those with a little more energy, why not have a game of pool volleyball.
Pool towels and an outdoor shower are also provided for your comfort.
If you require a rest but not in the heat, then you can retire to the hammock or the hanging chair, ideal if you wish to catch up on a book.
For the younger members of the family there is a trampoline and for everyone, why not start a table tennis competition with bats and balls being provided.

On the driveway there is parking for 2 cars and for entry to the villa there is a mounted key safe. Location and code given on booking.

As we mentioned earlier this villa is for every member of the family, so please do bring along the furry ones and make them part of your holiday- they would be very welcome!
(There are a few conditions and pet contract for you to agree to).

NB: Pool heating is included in the cooler months but in July and August it can be offered at £15 per day. The pool will not be filled from the end of November until the beginning of April, as it is not possible to heat in the winter months unless requested.

Please also note Villa Mika is a part of an ongoing building development (no work is carried out on our development in the summer months but there may be light work carried out on properties in the area).

GUEST ACCESS

The manager will be there to meet and greet you. However, for the late arrivals, a key safe is available, with code and contact numbers given after booking.

We have also designed a brochure that is updated annually, tantalizing you with ideas of places to visit, complete with maps and directions! Places that are a bit off the beaten track and that the regular tourist won’t know about. We have ideas and tips for excursions, beaches and restaurants and sporting activities that have been recommended by the owner or previous guests. Ideal pool-side reading!

The owner will not be on the premises whilst guests are staying but there will be a property manager to meet and greet you and answer any enquiries.

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE

All linen is included.

Bedding and towels changed on request or after a 1 week stay.

Bathroom and pool towels are provided but NOT beach towels.

Price includes service/cleaning charge. Plus we provide a complimentary 1.5 - 2 hour cleaning service daily.

On request we can provide large baby travel cot, high chair and baby car seat.

We can also offer a babysitting service, if staff is available. There is a small additional cost charged.

IMPORTANT TO NOTE

OUR ACCOMMODATION AND LOCATION IS NOT SUITABLE FOR THOSE WISHING TO PARTY!

We do not have any public transport and so are not suitable for non drivers.

NB : From the 15th September until the 15th June, there could be building work taking place and at times it could be heavy. We feel this is reflected in the asking rental price.
