Neither lamp in the room worked properly. One lamp didn’t work at all, the other you had to screw and unscrew. We overlooked that since we were too tired from traveling.
The real issue was the smoke detector that went off at 2:30 in the morning, it wasn’t super ear piercing loud but enough to wake up the kids up. The issue was finding it. It was not mounted to the ceiling. I found it shoved in the back corner of a shelf. This is a huge safety issue, NO working smoke detector!!!!!! When I told the front desk person our issues he told me I needed to plug in the lights to work. Do you not think we tried that, he was sure that was the issue and just blew it off. Then I told him my main concern and didn’t care at all and didn’t even address it. Basically just blew me off.
Needless to say I was very upset, me and my husband were traveling with 2 grandchildren. No working smoke detector that someone just shoved away on a shelf.
Very disappointed in the front counter person in how it was handled. I would be surprised if the smoke detector got replaced.
