”This hotel needs to be rated much much much lower. Our first room smelled terrible, the floors were very dirty and within a minute we found a roach. We went to the front desk and requested a new room, they moved us and that room was better but not great. New room still had stained sheets and unclean floors and a smashed bug on the wall. It was too late at night to try to change again. No staff around in the morning to ask for refund. NOT worth staying here even for the price. Expedia reviews...

”Parking was well lit, close and ample. Our room was very clean, bright and comfortable. While the hotel proper held beautiful elements of it's almost 200 year history, the rooms themselves were basic Hampton Inn variety. It didn't bother us in the least. Breakfast was about what one would expect from a Hampton Inn. I found the choice for kielbasa sausage as a meat option, versus bacon and breakfast sausage, a little odd for breakfast, but it was good. I wish they'd had grits or biscuits...

”Room was not cleaned properly. There was human hair in both the bathroom sink and bathtub. Also, the lighting fixtures were covered with dust and hairs and needed wiping down. The room had an odd smell. The rest of the facility was in good order and the free breakfast very good.”

”Breakfast was what we expected - basic continental breakfast. Room was decent but the bathroom wasn’t clean when we checked in. Overall convenient - right off the highway, plenty of parking. Good for a quick overnight stop on a long roadtrip. ”

”Nice, clean hotel. Our room had some damage to the wallpaper. Breakfast was decent but lacking biscuits and gravy. No sugar free syrup for diabetics. Check out was easy.”

”They advertise a breakfast! Hah!! It was a single muffin and a single small yogurt. 2 of the days I was there the food was gone by 7:30. And the sign asked customers to only take one. Also, they have smoking rooms. This caused the hallway and all the rooms on my floor to stink. The only amenity is an ice machine.”

”This is a beautiful property and we have stayed here once before. Overall the staff was very nice and helpful. We were not happy with the check in procedure. The app says 3pm check in. Their actual check in is at 4 pm. As we waited patiently in the lobby for almost an hour we were a little surprised when a couple came in at 3:50 pm and were checked in. No acknowledgment that we were there first or any interaction until we made the effort to get checked in. Even so , we highly recommend this...
