House was okay - upon arrival it seemed clean, however, the carpet upstairs was clearly not vacuumed and behind the door of the downstairs bedroom was very dirty, full of hair and clearly not vacuumed. Also hair in the shower downstairs on the wall. One of the chairs on the back deck had a large rip, making it nearly useless. And there was one lounge chair (plastic Adirondack) that had a leg broken off, completely useless.
When we arrived, it was very warm. After some back and forth, someone was sent out to look and it needed a replacement part. It wasn’t fixed until the day we departed (understandably hard to get service during the summer) but Vacasa only provided a small refund which they deemed acceptable, calling it a ‘loss of amenity’. It’s the desert- temps are high and it was miserably hot in the house, it got up to 82 indoors easily. There’s a sensor in the house, they should have been aware that the A/C had clearly gone out and it should have been communicated before arrival. Disappointed in the customer service around this situation.
Overall, the house was decent, however, there needs to be more attention to cleaning when it’s a pet friendly home, as well as tossing out useless outdoor furniture. Seemed like a lot was overlooked.
