”A little out of the way as really nothing in the area you could walk to. Stores, restaurants, etc a short drive away. We were conveniently placed at the back of the hotel near an exit as we were with our dog, so maybe other areas of the hotel seem brighter. A decent stopover with an included breakfast but nothing special.”

”The Grand Colonial is a great choice for a temporary home in the Herkimer area. So rich in American Revolutionary history, the old mansion is an historic relic that is kept up-to-date by its current owners. Mike was our host, and he couldn't have done more to make us feel welcome and comfortable. We give it our highest recommendation.”

”The surrounding area looks economically depressed and we had some initial concerns about safety. Check in was easy. We were provided with two keys for the front door and room door. The house is well maintained and in keeping with original design. We stayed in the wine and roses room which is next door to the kitchen. If you like to sleep in, this is not the room for you due to breakfast noise. The breakfast was good and timely. There was a hot option (bread pudding and chicken and herb sausage)...

”Receptionists didn't found our reservation and didn't give internet code to show it. Finally after 30 minutes found it and got the rooms. Internet was not working, receptionists claim it's ok but needs again an other 30 minutes to prove not! Reboot the system and start working. Please avoid if find some other hotel. Visit regular on area, but next time go an other place. Location near shopping and restaurants good, but service very starnge in US.”

”Check in was easy and they accommodated my early check in. Room was clean although floors were sticky (likely humidity + build up of soap used in cleaning). Very quiet. A/C was nominal and shut off middle of night. I was able to turn back on. Beds & pillows very comfy. Overall very satisfied with this little motel.”

”Nice place, friendly staff, pool could have been cleaner and breakfast had a lot of options but not a lot of taste.”

”Rooms are not cleaned daily. We stayed two nights and expected the room to be cleaned the morning after the first night. I inquired and was told they only clean rooms every other day.”

”Staff at front desk was helpful, even at 4:30 AM. Appreciated the cleanliness, plenty of parking. Breakfast could definitely use some help!! And indoor pool area was not comfortable at all - sitting area was outside, the room was very hot & decking around the pool stayed soaked with some puddles. Overall, I give it a B+. Offer a better breakfast and I might bump it up to an A-.”
