”Amazing place! Great buffet breakfast and also an option to have the breakfast on the barrel terrace. The only minus was that I was travelling with a friend and requested to have two separate blankets. There was an extra in the closet but no cover to it. When calling again to ask for the separate blanket we were broaght 4 extra sheets but still no cover to the extra blanket. (The barrels seem to be more for couples travelling but it would be nice if the hotel would accomodate for others as well...

”C’est tout simplement l’un des meilleurs hôtels où j’ai eu la chance de séjourner au Portugal, et j’en ai déjà visité beaucoup. La restauration du monument est splendide : l’alliance de l’ancien et du moderne est parfaitement réussie. Le personnel est remarquable, toujours attentif et chaleureux. J’ai eu la chance d'avoir une suite : la chambre, très spacieuse, offre une literie exceptionnelle et même le lit d'appuis est confortable et ça c'est très rare, mon fils fait + 1,80m et à bien dormi ....

”Such a wonderful slice of heaven. Definitely visit this property. The staff were fantastic & so helpful. A bottle of sparkling wine at the pool was €18 and absolutely delicious. The breakfast omelette was delightful, the dinner was delicious. The pool was sensational, such a lovely place to be. Book it! We had a vineyard suite, the Manor House ones seemed further away. ”

”The hotel had opened about a month ago, so it was very new. The location is good and the view over the Douro valley is nice, the terraces of the hotel and the rooms' balconies make it easy to enjoy it. Chairs on the room balconies would have been nice, though. The rooms were very nice, clean and comfortable. You could see that a lot of thought had been put on the overall design of the hotel with a lot of nice details, we liked that. The staff was quite young and eager, and sometimes fumbling a...

”Estadia incrível! Recepção muito atenciosa, quarto limpo e confortável, o hotel é esteticamente lindo, parece aquelas casas de filme, muito fofo! Café da manhã ótimo, lugar silencioso e super acolhedor. Parecia que tínhamos o hotel só pra gente, piscina vazia e um clima adorável. Nao tem estacionamento, mas na rua do hotel tem um supermercado onde tem convênio com o hotel e podemos colocar lá sem taxa alguma. Voltarei com certeza! ”

”Beautiful and quiet Hotel. Room was big and clean. Loved the nice balcony as well. Inside and outdoor pool was a big plus. Bring a bathing cap if you want to use the indoor pool Great service from staff. Good food as well!”
