”Our stay for our family of 4 at Aninga Lodge was fantastic. The room was clean and convenient. We spent a lot of time at the pool with the kids, they loved it, especially when the monkeys and toucans were hanging out in the trees. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The only downside we found was the transportation between the hotel and Tortuguero town. There is a boat provided for the hotel every few hours, but it isn't often enough to be convenient. ”Although this place is very basic, with essebtially no electricity or service and we werent able to complete the second half pf our rafting due to heavy rains, wr loved this place. It was exactly what we expected. We stayed two nights, and brought snacks and just took in nature. The two waterfalls we were taken to were awesome,. Especially day 2. So many beautiful bird's. Bring a Headlamp, bug spray and a deck of cards or a book!”

”Rana Roja was absolutely amazing! The owner Herardo was super nice, hospital and helpful. This place was more than advertised. They had a small and cute pool with a small waterslide which was nice addition during the warm evening. The property had many interesting walking paths which kind of felt like being on a nature tour or a hike, very cool! The owner was very helpful in making our stay comfortable and gave us good tips for tours around the area. We ended up going to a turtle watching tour...

”Brilliant hotel in a great beach-front location. The room was very large and the bed was very comfortable. The shower was very good. The staff were all very nice and extremely helpful, particularly Leo who was regularly ensuring that we were happy with everything. Breakfast is made to order to suit your preferences and was very tasty. Nice hammocks to relax in. The staff even took our luggage to the dock for us”
