Perfect apartment if it would just been clean
Location: absolutely great, 3-4 minutes walking to the shopping area in downtown Reykjavik, bus stop 2 minutes walking, grocery shopping (all 3 of the grocery franchises stores in Island) only 5 minutes walking, many tourist attractions 5-10 minutes.
Communication with agency: really great, always very fast (often within 5 minutes), friendly, and helpful answers.
Check-in and -out: easily done within seconds.
Apartment: everything there, what you might need, nicely selected.
Cleanliness: very poor. I came in and the bathtub was brown instead of white, there were food rests in pots, pans, plates, and cutlery, and hairs everywhere (in the bed, on towels, in the kitchen drawers, on plates etc.). I stayed there 2.5 months and spend the first 4 days cleaning the complete apartment. Furthermore, there were nearly on every piece of fabric a vast number of spots from former residents. I put away the carpets for my stay and covered the sofa with a blanket in order to feel fine there. I usually do not clean, when I come into a new accommodation and stayed in Iceland 7 months. I usually had the numerous accommodations only for 1-3 nights, so you can imagine, I had so many rooms (hotel, apartments, private) and all were ok to very good cleaned. This one was one of two accommodations which were too dirty for me.
Summary: if only the residents and the cleaning stuff would treat this apartment well, then it would be the perfect apartment wether for short or for long stays.
