Built to support Red Dot Potato-chip (later Frito Lay) corporate family retreats, this cabin is one of 3 rentals that embrace a beautiful setting, with lake front access to a clear skiing and swimming lake, plus access to more than 1.5 miles of private hiking and biking trails and a second smaller pan fishing lake! A new alternative for former Burr Valley guests! Enjoy the large living room with 2 additional twin beds for extra sleeping space. The bathroom comes equipped with bathtub, shower and a hair dryer for your convenience. We'll be available to answer any questions while you stay at our place.

The space
The CC Collins Cabin has 3 bedrooms, a full bath, completely renovated kitchen and large main room. There is not a window that doesn't have a spectacular view! From watching sunsets over the lake, to listening to the call of loons, you will love this Northwood's paradise!

The beautifully renovated cabin has new flooring, new kitchen, remodeled bathroom and huge deck and covered porch. There is air conditioning, WiFi, Smart TV, games, puzzles and a selection of books. The ample windows provide fresh air and majestic views of pasture, a grassy slow decline to the crystal clear and gorgeous spring fed SugarCamp lake.

There is also access to one other smaller lake as renters at Sugar Shores! Bass lake is beautiful pan-fisherperson's dream! Private, small and with no public boat landing - it is a quick walk from the cabin on private trails to a small boat landing with a private rowboat available at no charge for our guests to use!

Guest access
The cabin has a private fire ring, grill, covered porch, deck and parking. The property includes access to 2 miles of private hiking and biking trails. Remember: because the lake does not have a public boat landing, the boat traffic is limited to residents / guests.

Other things to note
The property has historic significance for the area and was previously owned by Red Dot (Frito Lay) Potato Chips company as their northern corporate retreat. Prior to that, a narrow gauge railroad can still be found on the property was used to bring lumberjacks and lumber back and forth from Rhinelander. Even before that, the property was home to a prohibition dance hall, grocery store and postal office!
