”This property is described as “Luxury” on Expedia. I’m not sure who came up with that description, but it is very much at the other end of the luxury scale. Granted, the building is old, but having read the description, we were looking forward to a high-spec, luxury boutique B&B with parking. Unfortunately, the reality was a world away from the impressive sales pitch. The parking is not private, as implied by the Expedia description, but public parking in the nearby square. ”Parking was spacious. Large bedroom and huge bed. Breakfast selection brought to the room in the morning was reasonable. Low sugar option would be nice and a small table to eat at rather than one eating on the bed as there was only one chair. Also, on a main road so a large amount of fast moving, noisy traffic. Double glazing...

”The hotel was out in the countryside with excellent views over the moors. It was very clean and well cared for. Car parking was good. The room size, bed size, etc was great. One small problem - the room lighting was not very bright during the night time. The food was excellent and the staff were great. It was also a great place for walkers with great access to the countryside. I would recommend it.”

The peaceful surroundings made it the perfect place to unwind and escape from everyday life.We especially loved the comfortable furnishings, the attention to detail throughout the lodge, which made it feel like a real home from home. The location was ideal for exploring the local villages, countryside walks, and all that the area has to offer.”
