”We loved the view from the porch, the beautiful more old-fashioned rooms, amazing friendly owners and staff and lots of things to see and do in the nearer surrounding! A pool and a lovely grill area make it even more a place to feel good and enjoy. We have not been disturbed by the street at all. The property is quite old and at some points you can see it. But that just makes it even more charming. ”

”On the plus side, the owners of the property were very nice and it was located right by the river. It was also a short drive to Chimney Rock and Lake Lure. That being said, the wifi in that area is very spotty. Also, the bathroom fixtures were old, but everything did work. Parking was a little tricky as well. ”

”This was our first trip to 1927 Lake Lure Hotel but not the last I hope. Staff was excellent and so helpful. The room was very clean. The whole property is so pretty and the antiques are a very nice touch in the lobby as well as on every landing. The only thing I would add is to have restaurant open we would have rather to have eaten there. Hope to come back with my best friends for a girl trip soon. ”

”Beautiful boarding house on the National Registry. Highly recommend staying here. Delicious breakfast, made to order, daily. Popular restaurant by night. My husband said the trout was the best he has ever had, anywhere. Walk to town or to Tomahawk Lake Town is a popular shopping destination 20 minutes to Biltmore and the Blue Ridge museum and parkway. Also check out the town museum and the huge antique store just off the highway. ”

”This is the third time we've stayed at this charming cabin with our dog. The location is great, a walk to Chimney Rock and a short drive to Asheville. The stone steps would not be good for someone unsure of their footing. The cabin is well laid out so it feels roomy and always spotlessly clean. There are two ample screened porches, front and back, so pup has a lot of room to roam around. Definitely recommend.”
