”The host has been wonderful from day one. We were greeted with homemade pasta and sauce as well as a delicious cake. ”

”The castle and surrounding area are stunning with breath-taking views and sunsets. The villa was lovely, if not a little rustic, but it was what we expected from the photos. We ate on property two of our four nights, the wait staff were not the most welcoming and did not offer the charm of the surroundings. ”

”Cabbiavoli was the gathering place for our two week celebration with family and friends for my husband’s retirement. We were within an hour of every place we wanted to visit (Florence, Siena, Piza, Volterra) and even got to do the Cinque Terre hike, albeit a long day but so worth the two hour drive time! The train being so close made all excursions possible. Wineries are very close and within driving distance. Cabbiavoli itself is loaded with history and its grounds and views are breathtaking....

”The facility is very old but well worth the stay in a 800 year old plus castle. The restaurant service delicious meal and the whole staff are very friendly and helpful. If you don’t stay here you will miss a great opportunity to stay in such a historical place”

”The Castle and surroundings are stunning. The property is right next to the castle and a short walk to the pool. It had everything we needed for our 3 days whist we explored the cities of Florence, Pisa and Siena, all a short car journey away. Because of the location you definitely needed a car. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would recommend. Beautiful place.”

”We stayed for three nights and really enjoyed our stay. There were things that could have been improved on… For example, there was nowhere to get breakfast or lunch. The nearest town is a good little hike down a hill and back up with groceries so having a car is a must. We used the local bus line and it was inconvenient. It would be great if they could provide a continental breakfast or even a vending machine for snacks/water. The castle itself was beautiful. The grounds and swimming pool were...
