”We just finished our fabulous stay. The room was spotless and we so appreciated the VIP welcome fruit platter! The grounds are clean, workers are friendly and very helpful, and the food was delicious. We enjoyed the hot springs and loved venturing to a couple of the Waterfalls. We did an all day adventure tour and had an amazing time tubing down the river, followed by ziplining through the canyon. ”Stayed 4 nights in the Amatista villa. Beautiful views of the lake and a the volcano. Twice sure our stay after the rains vibrant rainbows would appear across the lake. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Excellent restaurant on site for breakfast and dinner, breakfast was included with our stay. Found it to be very windy on that side of the lake but would definitely recommend for those looking for somewhere a little quieter but still fairly close to...

”I wish I had known about this place before wasting my money somewhere else. Santa María Volcano Lodge is amazing. I stayed here with my two small children, and the experience was excellent. The staff are outstanding—friendly, welcoming, and genuinely caring. I’m 100% sure there’s a lot to do here, and the atmosphere is peaceful, beautiful, and family-friendly. ”You don't stay in Arenal for the area around the B&Bs. You go to Arenal because it's funky and quiet and friendly . We return to Casa Donna Rosa for the welcoming owners and most of all for the fantastic breakfast preparations. I have only been gone one day and I miss their breakfasts already. Home baked Challah in think hunks with baked crisp finish the their french toast...yumm even before you try adding the smear of preserves. Great Costa Rican coffee is served with pots of wam milk. ”

”I stayed here for an overnight stop between La Fortuna and Monteverde, the hotel was better than I was expecting. Everything was great, a/c provided, was clean and comfortable and no issues at all.
