”This is a cabin resort depending on the room level. Rustic but you ARE in a national park so to be expected. If in the traditional or cabins, you walk up the hill to the dining room/bar. There are 2 short (1.5mi) right at the lodge”

”It was a bit expensive, but I got hotel rewards and the coffee maker was broken and they did switch that out. Very nice people”

”The property had friendly and professional staff. The hotel was clean and updated. The breakfast was good. We travelled to the area for a concert at UVA. I was concerned about the distance of the hotel from the venue, but it was an easy drive and had several exits in between with plenty of restaurant and shopping options. I would definitely stay here again.”

”I always have great experiences at Holiday *nn Express. Room was clean and well maintained. Staff was super nice and accommodating. They got us a portable crib for my 3 month old which was really awesome. Break was great. No smoking allowed on the property. I will only stay at Holiday inn Express from now on.”

”The facilities were in good shape and the clerk/manager was helpful, but the breakfast was a joke. One of the reasons I chose the hotel was because it listed "breakfast included", but breakfast only included muffins and yogurt.”

”Bed only had sheets on it when I arrived. Hotel wanted me the customer to go down the hall and fix my problems ”

”Great little suite in the cutest town of Culpeper. Place was extremely clean, quiet and convenient to all types of dining, shopping and train station. Beautifully decorated city with Christmas theme. Staff answered questions via email almost immediately. Very professional. We will stay here again. Highly recommend. ”

”This hotel is fantastic! Gorgeous design, super friendly staff, perfect location, and great connection to the uva community. The rooms were well appointed with super soft robes and towels. The staff went above and beyond to greet us. We also ate at the main restaurant Poplar and the food, decor and service was perfect! I’m excited to continue to visit this fantastic addition to the uva community!”

”Breakfast was a little pricey. The room we had did not have a mini fridge or microwave, which I should have noticed prior to booking. So that’s on me. Area is beautiful and the staff are nice and helpful. I will be back with my kids so they can enjoy it too. ”

”The room was spacious and had a comfortable bed, but twice we found long black hair that wasn’t ours on a pillow and the comforter. Our towels had rips in them. One of the bedside lamps had a burned out bulb, and when I went down to the desk to ask for a replacement, there was no one there for a long period of time. I eventually gave up. The alarm on the old-fashioned clock radio in the room surprised us by going off super early in the morning. The lobby and hallways had a weird disinfectant...

”The hotel was closed upon arrival and no one ever arrived. The windows were broken and there was an odor of cat urine and a dozen feral cats. We left since the hotel was closed and sought other accommodations. I will demand a full refund from Expedia and my credit card company. Filthy!”
