My family loved the home. Very clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. There is a beautiful view from either side with chairs to sit and relax. Close beach access, close driving to restaurants. We would definitely stay here again.

Lovely hideaway near the beach
We recently stayed at this property (2 adults, 2 kids, 1 dog) and loved it. It felt like a relative's beach/lake house that had been in the family for a few generations. Some great modern upgrades within a home with some history. Would recommend and absolutely see coming back again next year. Pros: 1) About a 15 minute walk outside of Rockaway. We loved walking the beach into town for a coffee every morning. Was great being just outside of the day-visitor activity. 2) The wraparound deck. It gives you both a lake and ocean view (Dining table is lakeside, Hot tub and deck chairs are ocean side). Also feels modern with composite material. (No wood splinters!) 3) Kitchen applicances, hot tub, and grill are all pretty modern. (guessing under 5 years old). Kitchen well stocked with things needed to cook - all you need to bring is food. 4) Off street parking. House is up a hill. I lot of homes in the neighborhood has parking on the street/alley so this was nice. Cons: 1) TV and living room are facing the ocean. This means the screen glare is massive under the sun goes down. It impacted out kids once, but for the most part we didn't need the tv so was very minor for us. 2) The outside of the house has a lot of metal corrosion. This mattered as some of the door handles and propane grill tanks are beginning to fail. 3) Washer and Dryer are old. They get the job done, however; you might need to run the dryer twice. (About 50/50 for us) Overall: 9/10!

Great view
The view was great and the house was fine, but there were some issues. There only 2 washcloths and 2 hand towels. There was ZERO ice, even though there were 5 empty ice trays in the freezer. That was a pain since we arrived late and had to go back out. There are TWO boxes for the keys, which was a little confusing at first. Towels were not dry when put away, so when we went to take showers, they were already damp and musty. Not good. Dug around till we found some dry ones in a cabinet. The rug in front of the upstairs bath is gross…dirty and old. Not sure if I’d choose this place again or not.

Everything was great, except the hot tub. It's disingenuous to include "hot tub" as a listed amenity when it includes no instructions, faded labels on the buttons, and ultimately, doesn't work. By the time we actually got it turned on, it would go only up 1 degree in temperature every hour. We had to check out before it even became usable.

This home suited our needs perfectly. Loved the location. The views were wonderful. Cozy home. Just right. Only exception would be that we’d planned on enjoying the fire place upon arrival. However, wood is not supplied, so be sure to bring some with you.

Cute and close to the beach
Great home. We’ll stocked with plenty of towels, bedding, and kitchen gadgets. Colorful and comfortable with lots of natural light and great views from the deck. Ended up being too many stairs for our elderly large dog. Long flight of stairs to get in/out of house, another set of rip rap stairs down to the beach. Not suitable for people (or dogs) with mobility issues, but a fabulous stay and we would stay again.

You get what you pay for
I can say location is great and makes it easy for all beach activities. Using Vacasa is a joke. They are 100% corporate and don’t care. I would check if your property is a Vacasa property before booking. The property I’m sure was nice once. It’s pretty clear it’s been let go. To spend the hat we did and get what we got was very disappointing. The entire house is essentially a giant spider web. I’ve never seen that many spiders in my life. Both inside and out. Any fear of those this isn’t your place. There is several things that would be nice to use but are broke. Hammock broke, hot tub cover broke. All chairs outside entrenched in cob webs, swiffer broken, cabinets hanging on by one henge. I think this was a property that was built with love, but after becoming a rental is now just a money printing machine that doesn’t have anything put back into it. Becuase of Vacasa misleading us we had to get a hotel and pay extra. This property should be less a night with current condition.

Amazing home with two great views
This house was amazing! The views of the ocean and the lake are spectacular. We loved the kitchen/living area being so open. The wrap around deck was wonderful. The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen and laundry area have all you could ask for. It's a very short walk to the beach. We loved our stay and will definitely return.

Quick get away
We enjoyed our 3 nights here immensely! My husband and I came with another couple friend - we didn’t realize the bathroom was in between the two doors of the rooms - not a ton of privacy. We also didn’t realize the second bathroom was way downstairs- oops! But we figured out a system for privacy :) The hot tub was cozy for 2. 3 people would have been awkward and 4 would have been really weird lol aside from that we LOVED it here! Close to beach and lake fun games available!! Fully stocked kitchen and amazing views. We highly recommend this for a larger family or people who don’t need lots of privacy. Thank you!!!

Great for a small family!
The property was clean and well stocked with everything we needed during our stay. The kids liked that there were games to play and the dog was happy about the bone selection. Proximity to the beach is great and access is just a few houses down. We loved being able to see the lake on one side and the ocean on the other. The only two things that could have been improved were the communication with the rental agency and the cleanliness of the hot tub. I sent a message with a question that was never answered, but luckily we figured out the issue. The only other thing to note for parents of small children is that the stairs to the garage are steep and slippery, so be aware with your littles! We blocked the stairs off with the garbage can so that our little guy and old dog wouldn’t go down there without us. We loved the note from the owners and reading all of the messages from other renters. What a great little getaway!

Great place even during the bomb cyclone
My friend and I booked a late fall stay to avoid big crowds. The storm made me worried about the stay so close to the ocean. Was hoping for wide sandy beaches for dog to run. That was only possible for two out of 5 days because of the storm surge took the beach and was pretty dramatic. But the cottage made the stay a great one. We made use of most of amenities and the views were great for storm watching. We made a fire one night (bring your own wood) cooked and watched movies. The small beach neighborhood still worked for dogwalks. We spent more time in Tillamook b/c there was more happening there as rockaway is pretty shutdown in late fall. Factory tour, lighthouse hike were fun outings close by. And the house was a cozy place to return to. The tv system was a bit hard to figure out and the remote may have needed new batteries as it was not always consistent. We made use of the small but classic DVDs. It was so stormy we didn’t use the hottub til the end of trip so we had to add some water and wait 12 hours. Used it twice and really enjoyed it even in the rain. We reached out to property manager via vacasa a few times and I was pleased with their responses and offers to help. I can see this place would be awesome in better weather, but we enjoyed our time anyways

Perfect birthday weekend!
Great rental! Hot tub was nice and hot and had an ocean view, lovely views of the lake and the ocean from each side of the house, super comfy bed, hot water, well-stocked kitchen, and a cozy fireplace. Combine that with an easy walk to access the beach and a friendly host, what more could you want? We would definitely be happy to rent here again!

Super cute and accomodating!
This house was very nice. We loved all the deck area and the view from the kitchen sink window of the lake! The kayaks were so nice to have hot, and the hot tub got a lot of use! My son who is 15 slept on the sofa bed and was surprised at how very comfortable it was. It was also really nice to have the extra bathroom downstairs!! The pictures should be updated to show that the view of the ocean is not as big any longer due to a new house across the street. That is the only minor complaint about the accuracy of the listing! You still get the beautiful wave sound and can see the waves a bit! The kitchen, bedrooms, and bathrooms were very well stocked with supplies. One other minor complaint would be that there isn't a good dog potty area. We really appreciated the house being dog friendly, and that we could let him be out on the deck area without a risk of him escaping, but wish he had an area to go potty within the fencing. We highly recommend staying here and would stay here again though!

Cute, comfortable, and amazing views
This is such a cute property, both in floor plan and decorations. There is a deck that wraps around the property from front to back, so you can choose views of either the ocean or the lake. Sleeping arrangements were comfortable for four friends on this trip. The pullout bed was actually pretty comfortable and there were clean sheet sets as well as plenty of pillows and blankets to use. The construction across the street appears to be wrapping up so some activity as they cleaned up the site but we didn’t have any noise complaints. You can still get a peek of the ocean waves from the deck, but not like in some pics in the listing anymore. But still a very nice view of the ocean on the horizon and we saw beautiful sunsets. Only steps to beach access, and there are beach chairs to use. There are also other beach toys/tools available. Instructions were clear, codes worked, everything was just exactly what we expected, if not better. Would recommend.

Overall everything was great! The views were amazing and watching the sunset from the hot tub was perfect. Lake to the east and ocean to the west, it was great! The home was decorated beautifully with everything and then some that you would need during your stay. The only thing is there was a large amount of dust on decorations and vents which was minor but noticed. Our dog enjoyed running on the beach, just be prepared for bathroom walks since there is no usable yard space. Would rent again and bring along more friends to enjoy the home with!

Nice, easy getaway location
My wife and I stayed here for a few nights to get out of town and stay near the beach. This rental was great! Well stocked, plenty of space, dog friendly, and the hot tub overlooking the ocean was quite the topper. Loved the views from both sides of the house and the easy access to the stores/restaurants of Rockaway, as well as close proximity to Manzanita and Tillamook.

Comfortable, great views, close to beach
This is a really comfy/cozy cabin just a few steps away from the beach. We enjoyed the hot tub, staring out at the ocean waves, the comfortable bed, and all other aspects of this place. It has a lived-in feel, unlike some rentals that are just rented out and not used by the people who own them. So, everything you need is easy to hand, whether it's the oils and spices for cooking, the beach towels and chairs, the three different ways to make coffee, or the many other comforts this home had to offer. Also, views! You can see both the lake and the ocean from the kitchen table. How awesome! The only thing to know if you're bringing a dog, is that there is not a yard. The entire outdoor space is deck. So, be prepared to walk your dog - bring your doggie cleanup bags! This is a great little neighborhood to walk around in, both on and off the beach. Wonderful place, we would definitely stay again!

Very close to town and great views of the ocean in the front and lake in back. Comfy living room chairs to watch movies on a huge flat screen TV at night. Nice modern kitchen if wanting to cook meals, tons of dishes and everything and the kitchen sink,! And speaking of the kitchen sink, quite fancy, just wave your hand to turn on and off, finally got the hang of it by the time we left 😂 Wish more restaurants were open in town, stayed on a Monday through Thursday, few were only open on the weekends and limited hours. Could be the season of the Covid ☹️🤣

Best family vacation ever!
This perfectly placed beach house was an awesome place to have a family vacation on the Oregon coast. With access and views of Lake Lytle from the front and the pacific Ocean from the back, we enjoyed every second of our vacation here. Highly recommend this place for the perfect relaxing getaway!

Very nice place!
Our only hick-up was right when we arrived. The code we were given for the key box did not work and we could not get ahold of the company. While we were on hold our 7 year old found an open door and we were able to get in although it felt a little like breaking and entering with not having a key. We continued to hold for about an hour before we gave up. We were not able to lock the house when we left so we could get back in. Other than that We had a wonderful week! The place was adorable, clean, cozy and had everything we needed. Would definitely stay again.

Overall good but a couple big flaws
Regarding check in, it was hard to find the lockbox and if possible, a hint on where to look would be helpful! Otherwise very smooth. However, the first night, we had only turned on two table lamps in the living room (no TV, nothing), but after being in the hot tub for about 14 minutes (jets on), the fuse tripped and the hot tub turned off. After going inside we realized the TV, internet and living room power had also blown (basically that corner of the house). We had to reset it. The next night, we tried again and this time, had the TV on but no lights (to watch through the window). Everything stayed on for 20-25 minutes but the moment we turned the jets on in the hot tub, it took less than 10 minutes for the circuit breaker to trip. So we had to call it. Basically, can’t hot tub with the jets on for more than 15 minutes. Otherwise a great place!
