The staff at reception were not prepared for us, they did not know if the rooms were ready so had to physically go to check. We did not find the promised snacks & drinks in the room so had to go ask at reception. They gave us a small box with 1 small bottle of water, popcorn and 2 protein bars. There was lots of garbage in the corridor, the smell of cigarettes in the room & weed outside. We felt unsafe. The bed had clean sheets, plenty of towels, the bathroom was clean but the toilet was a bit shaky/wobbly. Will not stay there again.

At check in I was given key to room 142 which had already other customer inside and a sleep. When returning to front office I was switched to room 149 and told that this is a premium room and will have snacks and beverages for the inconvenience, of course that was also not accurate.

I have been here for over a week.

How I had to stay someplace in a hurry
The Red Roof Inn where I stayed was very accommodating and allowed me to keep extending my reservations without much notice. It was extremely helpful to me at the time.

The room was nice and clean. Only downside was no fridge or microwave and the bed probably needs to be changed you feel the bars theough the mattress.. also the other full time tenants are a bit rowdy 7 to 8am screaming yealling and fighting... other than that great stay.

Never patronize Red Roof
I ended up in my car with my children because the hotel would not allow me to pay cash or tap to pay for a 4.24 cent fee that no one has been able to tell me what it was for. One person said it was a convenience fee someone else said it was tax … though I I had prepaid my stay. It was incredibly cold and unwelcoming that out myself and my children in a dangerous situation the reason for my stay at the location had to be missed and my return home prior than planned because we had nowhere to stay

This was a clean hotel with friendly staff, particularly Noel and Isaac. The grounds were well cared-for and the property is conveniently located.

I made a reservation for an extra 2 nights after staying there for 4nights, I informed the front desk officers and all one of them did was to charge my card again for payment when I had already paid through Expedia. I went to them to inform them and the arrogance and rudeness was unmatched, eventually the supervisor agreed they had held an extra payment on my credit card and that they were going to correct that. The supervisor asked me to come the following day so they could change the room for me because I chose a room different from what I was currently occupying, when I went the following day as I was asked to do, I had the shock of my life, I was asked to pay extra to maintain my room and I said we had agreed to change rooms so why an extra charge now, the front desk staff told me there was no room, I was shocked because I had make a reservation for God’s sake, how come I can’t have it as agreed but pay extra to maintain my room? Through out my 6nights stay, there was no cleaning of my room, no change of bed sheets, soap was not provided, no tissues etc, I had to buy one myself. The compound was never swept even once in my entire 6nights. There was no coffee and the front desk staff were not friendly and helpful at all. On this vacation I had booked 4 facilities with Expedia, I must confess, this is the worst experience I’ve had. It is horrible experience, I will not recommend Redroof to anyone in the Maryland area.

Very disappointed with extra fees from the hotel.
Wasn’t looking for the best place on earth just to sleep for 2 nights while in the area. Was Very disappointed I was charged extra money since I booked on hotels.com. I probably won’t book through hotels.com again and bypass them and call the hotel directly. When you make a decision where to stay based on price and are hit with extra fees I have to wonder why use this service!!!

Not a good area
Stayed for a night. Only place we have ever stayed a security officer stayed outside all night. Heard later on from muliple people, this was the biggest hotel for drug used. Someone looked in our window early morning, creeped us out so we left earlier then planned. Hotel itself was decent for a quick stay. But its not recommended.

I was charged an additional $38. When I called the Helpdesk to inquire about this, a lady informed me that I had been charged for watching TV, even though I only watched regular TV. I attempted to explain that I did not watch any movies and requested a refund. However, she was very rude and unprofessional in her communication, which left me feeling disappointed.
