”Great location in the old city but hard to find and nearly 60 narrow steps to carry your bags up. Find Uri Buri restaurant and look for a square black sign on the building to the left. Little signs direct you up all the way to the top. The room is lovely and the host has added a number of nice little extras. Our room didn't have a microwave so that must be in the other room as there are only two.”

For travelers who are religious Jews: the place is pretty Shabbat-worthy--hard key on a carabiener, but be sure to set the clock on the microwave before Shabbat b/c otherwise no clocks in the room. Also no challah to be had in the Old City where this is though I assume in the new city (a drive or cab ride away) you could get it.”

”Mukavaa israelilaista elämänmenoa, ystävällisiä ihmisiä, sekä juutalaiset että arabit. Naapurikaupunki Akkossa huokui viha ja turvattomuus arabilakon vuoksi. Olivat aloittaneet lakon puukotusaallon takia. Osa puukottajista jouduttiin ampumaan teon lopettamikseksi; siitä sitten arabit määrättiin alkamaan lakon muslim-johtajien käskystä... Maassa paljon nähtävää pienellä alueella ja on turvallisempaa kuin uutisten mukaan.”

”Oh boy, what to say? The owner is very, very nice, and the place is right at the seafront, close to nice restaurants and the main sights in the city (it's a tiny city, though). However, it was very difficult to find, since it doesn't have a sign (is it a legal hospitality accommodation?), the public spaces are filthy and the private rooms, though reasonably clean, worn and in desperate need of renovation. For the adventurous traveller only. ”
