”Black Bear Lodge is a very no-frills, rustic motel, with the room doors opening to the outside on a walkway or balconey. The bed was Very comfortable and the shower was great. That was my primary need, so i was pleased. The check in is down the road at a coffee shop and they have limited check in hours, or you have to make special arrangements. You have to take the key back to the coffee shop, which doesn't open until 8am, so there's no leaving early. There was a hair dryer in the room, and 3...

”I loved the cliff behind the cabin, it was fun to explore the property and the cabin was very quiet and nice. We loved our time there and hope to go back. The steps were a pain in the butt after hiking all day but definitely worth it for how secluded everything is. I would recommend skipping leg day beforehand and packing light!”

”The location was beautiful. I wish the bed was a little more comfortable as we both woke up pretty stiff from the mattress every day. We decided not to use the hottub since it didnt feel very private. With the house so close next door and the hot tub on the front porch, people doing yard work mere feet away etc it just didnt feel private to us. I think it would be better on the side of the house. Maybe just a personal preference.”

”We had a great time and the cabin and scenery was what we had imagined. Our evenings were peaceful and quiet. We enjoyed hiking the trails on the property and the map provided onsite was accurate. We were close to the parks to go and visit but far enough away to have the quiet we desired. We enjoyed our evening cookouts and bonfires. We had a few issues but we're able to easily resolve. The two hoses connecting to the outdoor shower had a bad connection valve. They had leaked out all the water....
