”Kelly was a wonderful host. Since she had cancellations while we were there (Jan 2026) she upgraded us to the master with ensuite. There are 3 bedrooms in total. Everything was spotlessly clean and there were all kinds of snacks and coffee, tea, milk available. Kelly made lovely breakfast for us each morning and was so accommodating. ”Pros: This is our first time staying at a lodge like this, so close to nature, just like camping. You will hear coqui frog whole night & seeing them jumping next to your door step. Animals free roaming, peacocks, ducks, chicken. Kids loved it. Cons: There is barely any light at night in the Property…so if you come back late, it’s a bit challenging to find your cabin.”

”We were booked for a standard queen room, but likely due to availability, put into one of the three 1 king + 1 full rooms and an amazing ceiling shower. It was well maintained, the keys and room prepped before we arrived very late. There was a dehumidifier making room not damp, and additional resources such as toilet paper, coffee and such were available in the self-hosting lobby. The location is barely five minutes from Volcano National Park and close to one of our favorite Thai restaurants....
