”After a travel mishap we were lucky to stumble upon Duomo Guest House on Expedia. It was not only perfectly priced for an unexpected extra night of vacation, but also in a prime location! Michele was a delightful host and even upgraded our room for us. The newly renovated room and bathroom was perfect and our balcony offered quaint views of Barletta. ”The host Raffaella was very kind and flexible. Breakfast was good—very traditional. The bed and breakfast was difficult to find walking from the train station; gps was hopeless trying to locate it. But once we found it, we thought the location was great with its proximity to the cathedral, old town, and waterfront. The stairs to our room were very steep—old people with bad knees like us should try to book a lower level room.”

”No parking affiliated with the property, not even a paid garage. No front desk, just WhatsApp. Staff logs off at 6pm. There is an emergency phone number where you can leave a voicemail but you can’t speak to a person. The water was shut off and I left several voicemails sent emails and WhatsApp messages. Expedia was very helpful but couldn’t reach them either. They helped me switch hotels at midnight and offered me compensation so that I didn’t have to pay extra for the second room. It’s a shame...
