”Rating: 2.5–3 stars This property sits in an absolutely beautiful location with stunning views of the lake and the hills to the west. The sunsets are truly incredible, and the overall atmosphere is quiet and peaceful. The front yard has a lot of charm and potential, though the grass was noticeably overgrown during my stay. The experience itself was unusual. I was greeted briefly by someone who handed me the key, but after that I didn’t see a single staff member, and there’s no real reception...

”I was traveling cross country and booked the location a day in advance, but circumstances dictated that I couldn’t stay the assigned night. I called just to let them know, and the front desk person suggested that they could roll the non-refundable reservation over to the next night. He didn’t have to do this but it was very much appreciated. Next day it didn’t make sense to stay given my timetable, so I never actually stayed at theplace.”

”Very relaxing stay by the the water of Seneca Lake. The facility was kind of quaint which added to it's charm. Nice base to use to explore this area of the Finger Lakes.”

”Michael greeted us upon arrival with a simple and easy check-in and check-out process. To our surprise, the staff cleaned our room daily. I highly recommend the Gorgeous View Motel for a restful nights sleep and easy access to all that the Watkins Glen area has to offer.”

”Very convenient location. Easy walk to Watkins Glen State Park (a must see!) Brian (owner) was friendly, welcoming and engaging. Rooms were comfortable and breakfast (many locally sourced products) was delicious Would highly recommend!”

”This is a very reasonable and affordable place to stay as a solo or family traveler. It's a small independent motel that feels like a throwback to the 80s or 90s with actual metal room keys and decor that feels like your Grandma's spare room. The pool is well maintained and clean; the room I stayed in was decently cleaned but the maid definitely needed to check under the bed after the last guests left. The deluxe king bed room itself was enormous for a family of three just spending one night....

Our room was clean and comfortable. The property is cozy and well-kept. A table and a couple of chairs outside of each room. We would stay again!”
