”We booked to stay 2 nights, arrived on Friday which was a heatwave day and was told we would get a fan in our room. When there was no fan in the room, we were told they are all allocated out! When questioned the staff, we got attitude and the response was- fine, you can have my fan, I won't have one! The same night it was thunder and lightning so we left the doors open in our room, 3am we got around 30 - 40 wasps fly into our room landing on us! It was horrific. We called reception and 2 people...

”The novelty of staying in a 400 year old property, in an incredible location, right in the middle of Rye, made this the perfect place for a long weekend. Everything needed was right out the front door - museums, castle, pubs, and cafes. The actual house was well laid out with decent furnishings and clean towels, and linens. ”I was disappointed with this stay. For the amount of money it cost, the caravan was not clean, was overcrowded and needs a lot of smarting up. You had to pay extra to have bedding which I think is unreasonable, particularly how much it cost per night anyway. Communication with the host was fine but not great. "Traditional and homely accommodation, just what we were looking for as a place for our family to stay. The location was excellent. The services of the city centre were close by, but the hotel was located on a beautiful street in a quiet environment. The rooms were charming, one of which we used was particularly functional and comfortable. A very good traditional English breakfast, complemented by berries and yoghurt. I couldn't have asked for anything more for breakfast or from the hotel. I can warmly recommend it."
