We would have come back, but we won’t

We rented this place due to location and family size needs. Check-in and check-out times were great. The landscaping was beautiful. Oh, this could be such a wonderful place for so many things but…It is dirty and is not being maintained. I could write pages here but I won’t. Sometimes pictures tell the story best. Let’s just say it lacks basic safety features such as smoke alarms and CO2 detectors, porch railings and handrails. Luxuries are hard to find when the towels and sheets are thread bare and often stained, couches are stained and furniture has a layer of dust or dirt. The outdoor canvas overhang is literally torn and hanging. Great coffee pots for a crowd but cooking supplies are greatly lacking. The stove/oven didn’t work, one sink backed up before we even used it. Food grime was left on silverware, pans, cooking utensils. No dishwasher soap was provided. No kitchen linens. A beautiful fountain but filled with green water with mosquito larvae. There were no written directions or information pertaining to house rules or directions for use. We tried working with the host regarding our concerns. After meeting with them, we were asked to leave a list of our concerns, which we did. And we hope they listen as this could be an amazing place. They need to hire efficient help to clean and fix all the broken and lacking basic requirements needed to provide a vacation rental quality environment.

Disappointed

The house was as depicted on the site, but it is aging, and many of the house utilities are in disrepair. The communication with the owner was slow and not very helpful. Check in was frustrating, as we had to download a new app, register, and then submit an email address for every guest who wanted access. The bath and shower water never got warmer than lukewarm, 2 stove burners did not work, the oven blew the breaker twice, and the kitchen had an ant problem. A bedroom chandelier would not turn off once it was turned on, so we had to unscrew the bulbs to go to sleep. But we were all able to gather there before and after our family funeral, and we had a great time begin together. Thank you,

Friendly gathering to socialize and play board games

The location was good for our group - fairly centralized, easy to find and easy to get to. The parking was excellent. The kitchen, dining and socializing areas were large enough and comfortable enough to accommodate our group of 24 people. The enclosed porch and outdoor areas were very nice, and we made good use of the folding tables and chairs on site. We had a slight pest problem, but nothing that interfered with our weekend stay.

Family getaway

Our hosts were very accommodating. Small issue with bedding was solved immediately. Place was clean, spacious, and quiet. 30 minutes from Sacramento with plenty of services nearby.

Amazing last minute find

My Uncle passed suddenly, and needed a place to accommodate 15-20 people. This place was perfect for such a large gathering, it never even felt crowded. Communication with the owners was easy, they went out of their way to make things smooth. The place could use a little TLC in a few spots, but I can't imagine maintaining a place this giant. Kids played wiffle ball in the backyard, you could park a fleet of vehicles in the front of needed. The enclosed patio with folding chairs and tables could have easily sat 30 of us to eat. So many bathrooms made it ultra convenient. This place is perfect for large gatherings.

Family reunion

Our stay was for 3 nights. Pro: size of the house was great, fit my family comfortably. The outside grounds are beautiful. Con: communication with the hosts or LACK of communication was horrible! Always took more than 24hrs to respond after I sent follow up texts & phone calls! I tried to get early checkin two days prior to our stay-NO response NO Wi-Fi our entire stay! Unacceptable! Late our 2nd night one of the hosts came to check our complaint-left with no resolution other than AT&T was notified (what???)! The house is not clean and had a musty smell. It really needs deep cleaning that should be kept up on at least a bi monthly basis.

Perfect Home for Our Team

All was good. Plenty of room for 16 of us (14 were teenagers). Kitechen well set up, three full bathrooms. 30 minutes from anything in Sacramento ... Worked great!!! Thank-you for a great stay!

Great for large groups but the home needs help

We arrived and the kevo app would not let us in. We called and they activated getting us in. It was hot outside AND inside. The A/C was off and it was 85 in the house. We turned it in asap. But it was not cooling the house. We called again and was asked to call the local owner. So we did. He made nothing but excuses and basically told us we didn't know what we were doing. We called again later asking for someone to come fix it. He did agree but said the handyman was in Vallejo. He arrive 10 minutes later. He actually lives nearby. He said there was a dirty filter and maybe that was the problem. Long story short it was fine by morning but if they had turned the A/C on in the morning of our arrival it probably would have been fine. Same deal with the wine fridge. The Jacuzzi tub doesn't work. The grill doesn't work. The main oven doesn't work. Some windows are cracked. The screened in room sink was disgusting. All of the outdoor benches have bird poop all over. They need a power wash. They did not leave a clean sponge or have dish towels. The grounds are very pretty and the space is nice.

Great space for family

We were looking for a place for most of our family to stay for a wedding. This was the right spot for us - nice large kitchen, multiple beds in every room and 3 of the bedrooms had bathroom/showers which helped for privacy. Plenty of room for everyone. Our hosts were super responsive check in day to help others in our party get into the house while traffic delays forced us to go straight to our event. So very much appreciated!

Place for our family and friends to gather over my daughters wedding weekend

Our stay was great, there was plenty of room for everyone to spread out and be comfortable. Property management was easy to communicate with and very friendly. Great place for big events. We’d definitely stay again.

Good but should have been better.

We couldn’t make the door directions work because the internet was down had to call owners to let us in. Then he gave us keys. The toilets were not working and the septic cleaners came when we were all visiting outside. The water pressure was weak and showers were difficult. There were cockroaches. Everything needed deep cleaning. Garbage disposal was not working and owners could not make it work. When we first came into kitchen it smelled terrible. The house itself was great. It worked for our group. With a bit of care the house could have been great.

Facility could be great for family gatherings, but bring your cleaning gloves!

It was REALLY dirty! Floors, bedding, kitchen cupboards, kitchen drawers, microwave, fronts of the appliances, dishes, etc.; were visibly dirty. We actually found dirty QTips in the kitchen cupboard. We discovered the bedding in the master bedroom hadn’t been washed, they were visibly dirty and actually had blood on them. There was more than one bed that we discovered had hair and dirt between the sheets. I found it disturbing that none of the mattresses had mattress covers and none had fitted sheets. (So if you moved around much you ended up actual sleeping on the bare/dirty mattress.) We mopped the floors ourselves after being there one day, as everyone’s socks were disgusting. The light switches throughout the house were dirty. Every fork, glass, & dish had to washed before using. The drawers were disgusting. There are NO kitchen dish towels. We had to buy paper towels and garbage bags. There was no cooking spray, limited pantry items and very little AJAX Laundry soap that looked like it had already been watered down. The ironing board was broken and there was no hair dryer in the house. There was no extra blankets to be found. The hot water system needs servicing. You run the shower for a good 3-5 minutes before you get hot water. The house needs maintenance; holes in the walls, exposed wires under the TV, broken windows. Although the AC worked we couldn’t figure out how the control it; instructions would have been nice. The kitchen outlet breaker would pop off during the night. The TV in the living room has a black line on the picture, on right side. I didn't contact the host during the stay as we were extremely busy planning a wedding and I had 12 people in the home. We washed sheets and surfaces, as it was easier than coordinating with the host to visit & fix; especially since they had no problem giving it to us in that condition. After the trip I advised them of the issues and was told I should have advised them at check-in; although the majority of the issues were discovered throughout the stay. The host offered me a discount on future stays but there is no way I would go back. I've stayed at a number of VRBO's and this was by far the worst for cleanliness and amenities and unfortunately the most expensive I have every rented. Very Disappointed! Hopefully the owners will make some changes for future renters as the place has great potential.

Large group perfection.

The property was great for a large group since everyone had their own room. The property was perfect for sitting outside and not feeling like neighbors were on top of you. Communication by host was outstanding!

Great house for a large group !

House is amazing. Really nice beds for everyone in the group to sleep well. We rented the place for a rafting trip. Huge yard for playing some sports. Lots of chairs and tables for big group dining in the backyard. Quiet place. We had a great time. Thanks!

Beautiful open space for big groups

Overall experience was really good, Omjar the property manager made sure to get the things in order to make our stay comfortable . Loved the very well manicured outdoor space , just get your own net to play volleyball, badminton etc . Bathrooms do need to some work but were operational.

Sister's Wedding

We used this property for my sister’s wedding this past weekend and stayed two nights. Here's our experience: Pros: • The house is stunning! Everything from the perfectly cut grass to the shocking amount of space inside the house (all the bedrooms are huge). • The A/C works! It was a very hot weekend and the A/C held up better than we expected. • There was a miscommunication (my fault) about additional costs because we were having an event. The owner was nice enough to give a HUGE discount, which was very much appreciated because weddings are expensive! • Everyone slept great! The walls are thick enough that sound wasn’t an issue for those who went to bed early. Cons: • Communication - At one point I waited 4 days for a response to one of my questions. • Tables – 25 people were scheduled to attend and we were told only 4 tables would be available for us. After I explained that 4 tables wouldn’t be enough, 7 tables were left for use. I literally had to negotiate with the owner, promising that only 25 people would be showing up, and then he let us use 2 more tables (total of 9). Why am I having to pull teeth about using tables when we paid extra to have an event?? • Fountain – The fountain was not functioning. One of the reasons we chose this location was that we wanted to take picture by the fountain with the lights. There was no water in the fountain and the lights weren’t on (fail). • Chairs – After we left I get a message from the owner saying that a plastic chair was missing and I’m being charged $50 for it. Ummm, what? Moral of this story, count and document EVERYTHING because you will be charged if they miscount. • Details – although the house is beautiful the details weren’t there. Some of the doorknobs look like they are about to fall off. There was a door that had two doorknobs which had to be turned at the same time in order to open the door, a shower was leaking, and there was a hole in one of the walls (thankfully I pointed it out to the owner when we arrived or else he may have charged us for that too). Weddings are stressful enough but having to worry about the lack of communication and other strange interactions with the owner leads me to not want to recommend this place to others. Which is sad because this place is perfect for big groups of people! If you aren’t having an event, and just need a big space for lots of people, go here. If you are having an event here, good luck.

Property not ready

Your company rented me a property that was not ready the owner was not aware that your company rented it to me. It was dirty my family had to clean it and you charge me cleaning fee for a dirty house! Not only that you guys are charged me for extra people, the property clearly say 30 people max we where only 14 I need you guys to refund me what you over charge me
