We were excited from all the pictures and description, but unfortunately we were somewhat disappointed with the overall condition of the cottage. There was tipped over and smelly garbage all over the front lawn and driveway and it stayed there the whole visit even though we informed the host. Although the layout, decor and views were very nice, we found many issues that just didn’t make things very welcoming. The floors not particularly clean and we found the dryer not working and we were specifically counting on laundry facilities for our situation. Also, there were light bulbs not working and none of the bathroom sink plugs were working. There were missing pool table balls and the grounds and furniture outside were not well maintained and required cleaning if you wanted to use them. There were lots of bedding, towels and soap, shampoo, conditioner, but make sure to bring your own toilet paper and paper towels. It’s unfortunate things weren’t in better condition because the cottage overall is very nice. But for the price being charged, we did expect more.
