Halvat hotellit - Salcete, Goa

”The suite was clean, spacious and equipped with the absolute basics in terms of kitchen bits and bobs. Amazingly there was a top loader washing machine! You could always ask for other items, staff and manager were especially helpful. Useful contacts were all displayed at the reception, taxi, breakfast lunch and dinner available to order. The beech is approx 1 mile and walked to it most days. Good selection of restaurants on the beechfront and along the way, plus shops, wine/beer and pharmacies....

”We just spent 4 nights in Sterling Goa Varca. The hotel is a 4* property but lack of detail in multiple things, especially cleanliness, decreases it's points. Also the quality vs. the 9000 Rs. / night price doesn't seem adequate. The clientele seems to consist mainly of Indian and Russian tourists so maybe they have a different standard for such hotels than westerners. Pros: - Employees are friendly and most of them speak English - Breakfast spread is ok with multiple Indian and continental...

”Firstly no hotel sign board, it was on the floor outside in pieces so it was hard to find the hotel. Check in experience dreadful, unkempt disinterested staff, untidy reception. We paid extra for a deluxe ocean view room. There are no ocean view rooms at this hotel since all rooms face South! Room not bad, slight uriine smell and some cobwebs.
