”Spacious, stylish and well equipped. Very comfortable for a family stay. The location gives a fab view and is close enough to town. Lovely to have parking. There are steps which might be an issue for less mobile people but our 77 not so fit managed ok. The lovely large pool was a real bonus and was warm. Definitely recommend.”

”Within 50 yards of the beach which is extremely clean, not too busy in September, boat taxi to Salcombe, good food in hotel opposite, apartment excellent, beds fab and balcony perfect for people watching. Definitely recommend.”

”We loved the views and easy walk down to South Sands beach. We built several castles with moats etc, helped by the stream. It's nice to be able to park the car and not use it again during the week, as we could use the South Sands ferry, or walk, into Salcombe town. The coast path is also lovely and easy to get to.”

”We had a great time at Jacks stay. The flat was great, it is nicely renovated and was spotlessly clean. It included everything we needed and a handy location for the supermarket and easy walk into town.”

”Beautiful and very spacious apartment, just in front of the beach, with great views and a lovely terrace. Everything was perfect. The owners had even welcomed us with brownies and scones/jam/cream - very thoughtful. The property is an a beautiful place, just across the beach, 10 min away from Salcombe either by car or by boat. We preferred South Sands to Salcombe itself. Lovely coastal walks nearby as well.”

”Perfect location right by the beach. And very convenient for the restaurant and bar on the ground floor. The apartment is very well equipped indeed and essentially brand new. The parking space right outside is a real plus, but the locking bollard is broken. That’s the only negative.”

”We have stayed at this property before. The fact that we came back says something! The stunning view remains the same, but the replacement of dining chairs, as shown in the picture at the top of this review, with benches we found less convenient. The pictured bottle of wine was absent! A few minor bits of maintenance are required, but overall it is very comfortable with good facilities. We would be happy to revisit.”

”Great sea views, sunny large terrace - enjoyed our coffees there! Kids enjoyed board games and tried sketching the harbour. Rooms were tastefully decorated, kitchen well equipped. ”Great stay in North Sands with Salcombe Abode. A fab apartment in a great setting, light and sunny and very well equipped. Coffee machine (coffee pods provided) dishwasher,( tablets provided) even a backpack, a little thing but so useful. Had originally booked for 4 days but it was so wonderful we extended our stay. Will definitely return to No 5, and thoroughly recommend Salcombe Abode, great personal service..”

”Beautiful property, five minute walk from the centre of Salcombe. The hosts communicated regularly with us to check in, make sure all was OK and offered us brilliant local recommendations. The Booty is beautifully done inside, with lots of attention to detail - plus a bottle of wine waiting for our wee break. Was a great long weekend for us with our 2 yr old daughter, so a big thank you to the hosts for their advice, recommendations and friendly welcome. We would definitely stay again!”

”We arrived to a sparkling clean and well equipped lodge and a bottle of wine was waiting for us. The beds were so comfortable and the site well kept and quiet and everyone seemed to respect everyone’s privacy.
