”The room was supposed to be 2 king beds, but it was 2 queens so we had to sleep in separate beds. When we walked in there were spider webs and various insects everywhere. The floor was very uneven with various holes. Some had toilet paper stuffed in them because there was no Kleenex provided in the room. The good parts were a large bathroom counter, a nice shower head, the tv worked, and the mattresses were decent. Keep in mind there’s no amenities, but it’s affordable compared to everything...

”My husband and I stayed at the Manchester View for 5 days while we were looking at houses. The hotel was nice enough to upgrade our room and it was wonderful. The room was so comfortable and spacious we didn't want to leave. Would definitely recommend the Manchester View to anyone and if we ever have an overflow of relatives that come to visit, they will be staying at the Manchester View.”

”Stayed in a suite for 2 nights on a visit to see the leaves change. Overall, there were no major complaints. The property appears antique but well maintained. The suite we stayed in looked freshly renovated and was very clean and well put together. The staff were friendly and helpful. I heard that the normal rooms and rest of the property as a whole are undergoing further maintenance and renovations, so I’m excited to see it again this time next year. It’s seated right in Manchester, so...

9. Stanford House

Manchester Center

”Stanford House was listed on Expedia as 9.0 Wonderful. I disagree. I saw photos that had rooms with white bed covers. I didn't expect something so different on a busy weekend in Manchester. However, even though the room was clean and seemed more recently painted, it was disappointing. I am not a dog owner, and the bed covers with large dog designs were shocking. There was no in- room coffee pot, no cups. There were many wires for TV, microwave ( very mini, less than a college microwave) mini...

”This place was far nicer than it had any business being for a rambler motel and far nicer than you would think given the pictures. It is a very old motel but has been extensively and well remodeled (or is in the process of-workmen were there working on another room) and the room I was in was much nicer than most hotels I have stayed in. The staff (I think also the owners in this case) was very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was good.”

”What a refreshing change from the typical cookie-cutter hotels! This motel has its own unique personality, with quirky charm and a different vibe from the usual mainstream accommodations. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, which is always my top priority. I loved that it felt distinctive and had character rather than looking like every other hotel room. If you appreciate places that are a little different, have charm, and offer a clean place to stay, this is definitely worth...
