”Staying here is similar to staying "on property" at a Disney resort - you are a 3 minute drive to kayak, canoe and pontoon rentals at the State Park. Very convenient if you plan on doing any of those activities. The home is a beautiful A-frame house and when we arrived it was well prepared, stocked and extremely clean - I'm an OCD clean-freak and it met my standards.The home is nicely laid out with the master suite on 2nd floor. ”The best dog friendly rental we have stayed in so far. The house was clean, the beds comfortable, nicely updated and the rustic decor charming. Scaly mountain is between Highlands NC and Dillard Ga, so close enough either way to enjoy shopping and restaurants but rural enough to feel like you live in the country. Lots of dog friendly hiking trails nearby. Loved the front porch with its swing and cool evenings, and the fire pit. Definitely recommend.”

I will say this; if you're into haunted houses this place definitely offers the spooky. We experienced several things that gave us the creeps, that to us, was very cool. Overall, the stay was 100%.
